Rip up one room if the carpets the same throughout and use it for off cuts. A carpet fitter should be able to joint the carpet and piece them in the doorways. That way you're only getting a floor covering for one room. Do you have carpet into a cupboard or anything you could use?

Forgot about Stampy's filthy hovel Rofl

What are the boards like underneath, Acey? Is it worth ripping the carpets up and doing something with them, or laying a flooring? Almost certainly not, given its a flat and from the photo, but sometimes you get lucky if it's an older property. Might just have to buy some cheap new carpets and get them laid down m8 Eek Agree with Scott that it'll get you an easier and more lucrative rental in the end anyway.

Warnock Fair Play for again opening yourself up for some deserved ridicule Acey. Think the real lesson here is not to have cats.

I thought I'd do Lawson a favour and take some of the heat off him. Eek

PS: that's an extremely good shout, if it gets that far. Yeah, there's carpet in the cupboards, which I was going to turn to first.

I'm hopeless at all forms of DIY. Thankfully my bursd isn't. She built a bookcase from scratch (as in not flat-packed, actually just bought the wid, drew plans and built it), wallpapered the whole house and put up every item of flatpack stuff we've got.

I feel in no way emasculated when something breaks and I have to shout on her to fix it while I make the tea and watch the bairn. I'm a modern man.

Imagine going to the place they sell it. Then going up and asking one of the overalled, dirty-handed, actual men that work there about a subject in which they're an expert and you're, well, you.
