It did it a couple of days ago for the first time, then it stopped for a few days and now it’s doing it again. Hot waters fine I think, all the other taps are running hot water just fine.

Most likely the mixer valve is knackered but I’m a spark not a plumber so don’t take my word for it

Kinda shower is it kash? Sounds like the cartridge is away.

I was about to wind you up and say “that’ll no be cheap” and it reminded me of a story from my apprenticeship.

Our gaffer was a weird guy and very socially awkward but intimidating. He decided to test the other apprentice one day so had planted a basic fault in his oil boiler and stewart was to come and fix it including role play. Went like this

Stewart; Chaps door. Hello mr Thomson, I’m here to have a look at your boiler.
Gaffer; in you come son, it’s through here

Stewart proceeds to head into the gaffers kitchen and take the casing off the boiler.

Gaffer; what’s wrong with it son, have you fixed it?
Stewart; give me 5 minutes and I’ll try to diagnose it.

5 minutes later

Gaffer; any news yet son
Stewart; I’m afraid so mr Thomson. Oh dear, this isnae gonna be cheap

Also remember we got sent out to fit a heating system in a job in Killearn For a posh old couple and when we lifted the floors we found there was full standing room underneath meaning the job was a doddle. Gaffer told us “great stuff, some you win. Just tell the customer it’s a cunt if a job regardless”. He was obviously wanting to justify his price to them.
Anyway few hours later my tradesman and I were grabbing a coffee with the customer and stewart pops up from under the floor.

Posh wife; how are you getting on under there
Stewart; oaft, it’s an absolute cunt of a job

Spat my coffee out when he said it Monty Chuckle

Should still be under warranty. If you have good pressure/temp at other outlets then just replace the cartridge on it or get Mira or your installer out to it. Sally

Would it be under warranty with the folk that fitted it or Mira? The company we got it from went bust a year ago.

Pete, finally installed my dishwasher and put the washing machine under the stairs with a 1m hose extension and now it’s not draining water properly. Is this because the hose is too long or does the hose need to be off the ground slightly?
