I think the Sheriff Court is for small-time cases.

Fucking hated jury duty. I had to do it at the high court. Out of the 70 or so folk, I thought I'd gotten away with it, but one of the 14 backed out (probably lied to get out of it), and one of the arseholes came in a Lacoste jumper so was turned away. Out of the 50-60 folk left, one name chosen to replace - me. It was a horrible case as well of a bloke who raped his girlfriend's 7 year old daughter. The prick only got 8 years :seething:

It's not just pishy wee small time cases. You could be sitting on a serious assault, a drug offence, sexual assault and so on. The fact it's solemn, before a jury means it is more serious.

Turn up looking like and acting like a total ringpiece. There's no way you'll be selected.
