Wondering if we should really go for it tomorrow with King and Sam Nic wide, and Walker floating about behind Sow.

Have to say, if I was Stubbs, I'd be telling them to attack McHattie.

If we don't turn up, like in pretty much every derby this season, I'll be quite annoyed.

Surely to fuck Robbie is stressing like we are that we need to start the match with a proper Derby intensity.

I'd suggest no one else click on this link. It's just a 'controversial' piece to get clicks on the website.

Copied, so nobody has to go there. Greggy

Quote:HOW dare they? Hibs have decided there wonâ€t be a guard of honour for Hearts today. Have they no shame?

They might as well have insulted every Jambo granny in Gorgie. Itâ€s shameless, bitter behaviour for a club with no class.

Well, thatâ€s the patter youâ€ll get from Hearts fans. Theyâ€re not happy with Hibees. Nothing new there then. But hang on a wee minute here.

How many guards of honour to Hearts need? What are we up to now – about 10? Do they want one at every ground they go to in the country?

When will it stop? After all 42 clubs have been ticked off the list? Will they go on a Highland League tour? Maybe they should take the roof off the team bus.

Come on. Hearts have conquered the Championship, not China.

The way some Jambos are going on youâ€d think they had single-handedly defeated Genghis Khan, Napoleon and the Luftwaffe combined.

Settle down chaps. Impressive as it was, you managed to win a division with three part-time teams and a shambolic Rangers outfit that used a coaching manual that was so old it
was written in Latin.

Oh, and Hibs.

At this rate the Hearts first team will get clapped into the Riccarton car park by the youth team and coaches.

Enough is enough. Thereâ€s a limit to how many herograms a club can get and if there were points for smugness Jambos would be World Cup winners.

This guard of honour guff has only made it worse. The whole premise should be banned anyway.

Weâ€ve turned into a nation of bed wetters. Why should any side give a guard of honour? Why would any team need a guard of honour?

Itâ€s a load of needy nonsense. Winning clubs needing a pat on the back. Losers needing to be liked. Itâ€s vomit-inducing. Bin it.

The same goes for this stupid team handshake charade before games. What was wrong with just giving a guy a grudging shake at the end of the game before trudging off?

Itâ€s all rugbyâ€s fault of course. The rugger chaps started this guard of
honour hokum. They do it after every game at every level. They canâ€t get enough of this stuff.

If a scrum-half spends long enough in the lavvy heâ€ll find a guard of honour waiting outside to clap him all the way down the corridor.

It comes from the days when rugby players were farmers first and sportsmen second.

Theyâ€d spend 80 minutes knocking seven shades of sherbet out of each other, jump into the shower for some wet towel whipping action and then head out on the lash like the best of pals.

Itâ€s amateur hour and should have been left to the hooray Henry brigade.

This is professional sport weâ€re talking about. Teams are rivals and when one wins the other suffers. It”s pure hypocrisy.

Donâ€t give me the itâ€s sportsmanship line. As soon as the clapping stops and the whistle blows the false chivalry ends and the same honourable men will spend 90 minutes doing their damnedest to cheat and con their way to victory.

Diving, play-acting, time wasting, sly kicks, this thing now where they brandish kiddie-on cards to persuade the man in the middle to book their rivals.

Sporting? Do me a favour. Football is the most unsporting sport on the planet. Golfers and snooker players call their own fouls for crying out loud.

Can you imagine a defender telling a ref he handled the ball in his own penalty area?

Heâ€d never kick a ball again. For anyone. No one would talk to him. Heâ€d be bombed out of the game and end up as one of those crazy drunks who shout at lampposts.

Meanwhile the star striker who gave it the Tom Daley routine to win a penalty against you in the cup final is your best pal when your gaffer signs him in the summer.

Football is the most sleekit of sports so spare us the nice guys routine and get on with the proper business of winning matches.

And if there is any side who most definitely shouldnâ€t be giving a guard of honour to Hearts itâ€s Hibs.

Theyâ€ve been bending over for their rivals on the pitch for years.

Alan Stubbs is spot on to shelf any notion of bowing and curtseying today. Thereâ€s too much at stake.

If he could get away with it he should have his squad throwing rotten fruit at the Jambos.

The last thing Hibs need is an inferiority complex going into this clash. Theyâ€ve already had one for years and it needs to be binned if they are to have any hope of a bit of derby glory for a change.

Thereâ€s so much more than just points at stake. Thereâ€s a suspicion Hibs have gone a bit, well, Hibs-like, in recent weeks.

The same old accusations and words that have haunted them for years have been rolled out again.

Bottle merchants, psychological barriers, hoodoos.

Hibs need to prove itâ€s not just same-old Hibs again.

Stubbs has done a decent job in making the Easter Road side credible again but it needs to be backed up at the business end. Hearts shouldnâ€t get a guard of honour – they should be made to run the gauntlet.

My favourite part:

Quote: if there were points for smugness Jambos would be World Cup winners.
