Ended up buying her another one series to replace her A1. Was a toss up between that and another a class but having had both reckon the BMW shades it. Looking at getting something myself now to eat up the motorway miles, will be reviewing hot hatches and other gas guzzlers for the rest of the afternoon at work

My friends just got a new Audi A5 and he’s offered me his Focus ST for 2.6k before he puts it up on the Focus forums. He’s spent 10k on it over the past 4 years, alloys, roof wrap, apple play, custom exhaust, air filters, re-mapping, lowered, had spacers fitted, full LED conversion and loads more.

Could be a better option for me to have a car that I can sell in a year or two to get a better car than I could get just now instead of scraping the barrel for a one series.

Personally, I’d go for it. Makes more sense than jumping in and getting a car on finance that you don’t really like. Jezza

Ah ok, was just the way you'd written that reply. Have they replaced the 140 with the 135? They do look like good fun. Pretty nippy as well. jjay

Focus ST gets good reviews. Quite like the Golf R32s anaw. Ideally I’d get an M135i but needing two cars shrinks my budget

Looking at some nice S3’s there, worked out it would cost me £260pm in fuel to go to work though Monty LewLew leaning towards the ST and it’s ecoboost engine.

My mate has a golf R and absolutely loves it. You might know him actually. Bobby Christ

Always liked the S3s myself.

The S3 and the R32 are tidy - I had both out before I bought the M140.

They just couldn't match the power or the sound of the 3.0l straight 6 GodIsGod

Although the 4 wheel drive systems on both mean they get their power down slightly better, nothing beats the twitchy moments with RWD with no LSD Eek

Absolutely not....but I would put cla45AMG and the a45 AMG for that matter as a class above all 3 of those mentioned as they closer to the RS3 in terms of power and price.

Hence the introduction of the a35 AMG.
