Won't be watching CODA, sounded shite based on premise, and looks like it's been confirmed by those who've seen it. Thought Whiplash worth the time, albeit naff subject matter (for me anyway). Liked the dinner scene with his football-playing cousins or whatver they were.
Back a few pages I gave The Worst Person in the World a 6.5 so that meshed with Sterling's 'very good' although to be quite honest with you it hasn't stuck with me, had to google to see what it was about again.
Saw Moonrise Kingdom the other day; not a patch on The Grand Budapest Hotel nor the excellent French Dispatch. Rotten Tomatoes however, ranks it #1, lol.
Last night managed to watch a decent version of Licorice Pizza, decent like but not sure about all the Oscars nominations chat. 6.5/10

Pozzy - Speed and Speed 2: Cruise Control are two of the best films ever made imo.

Went to see Top Gun 2 on Friday, agree with what's been said, a fantastic action film and pays great respect to the original but is by far a better film
Saw Top Gun in that 4DX to make it even more ridiculous.
Basically a solid Hollywood blockbuster that does what it says on the tin and is extremely good at it - can't ask for much more than that. Really big buzz during the first ten or so minutes

Watched Moonlight again, thought i hadn't seen it but soon realised I had, but was aleady committed. 6/10 at most.
Also watched The Sparks Brothers, okay but tbqh it was a bit long, another one I stayed with coz I'm like that!
And, The Story of Film: A new Generation interesting look at film in the 21st century. If I could remember any of the films that piqued my interest I'd probably watch them but I can't!

Rewatched Goodfellas last night, superb film.
Couldn't believe that I'd forgotten never noticed that Samuel L Jackson was in it too, as well as the more obvious ones who later appeared in The Sopranos.
