Not long after I turned 8 yrs old I went to the movies for the first time with my mum's dad, to see Midway; one of only two memories I have of him (the other being when he yelled at me the tear before or two for running the water to get it cold at the Dalmeny Street flat) but from that time on I was fascinated by the wars, and the First in particular, in which he was involved, initially in Mesopotamia and then latterly at Gallipoli.  There wasn't much in the way of suitable literature for kids that barely spoke English Laugh on the middle eastern campaigns so that Christmas I received a wee pocket-type WWI booklet and one of the few illustrations in that that  I recall was of Princip shooting the Archduke.

Probably this one.

It also had a pull-out scene of the trenches on both sides with no-man's land, where you were able to rub on various soldiers. horse, artillery guns, etc. as you so desired.  It was  GodIsGod

Blade Runner 8/10

Seven Beauties, 1975 Italian language film
7/10 Dark but at the same time quite comedic, especially Giancarlo Giannini's character. Interesting subject matter. I'd watch it again, eventually.

Watched a film called 'Yesterday' the night, thought it was going to be gash but was actually quite good, guy (failed musician) gets in to an accident and when he comes round he finds out nobody has heard of the Beatles and plays their songs off as if they're his own etc etc..

Calm with HOrses (The Shadow of Violence), 6/10
Decent enough watch. Estranged dad tries to make amends with missus and son, set against the backdrop of a small-time Irish criminal clan adding complications.

Watched American Psycho last night. Very funny and very good Monty Chuckle

Couldn’t make my mind up if it was all a dream though, and thought it would be a bit more graphic for it being an 18.

A workprint section from Apocalypse Now of the Bunny-SuzieQ scene. If you want the abridged version skip to 5 mins and let run to 11 minutes.  Quite hedonistic, intoxicating!   Quite Good

e: shouuld add that this contains footage that isn't in redux or the final cut.
