A minute by minute look at goodfellas. Each episode is 10-15mins and goodfellas is fucking awesome. There's a mixture of scorsese, industry and mafia chat, as well as, y'know, what's actually on screen.

Quite Good

Sounds dece Quite Good

Sure.

I can't imagine any other format that could create a product which looks at a movie minute by minute. Initially from the point that no one in their right mind would pay for it, and that very few other formats let people geek out to such an extent.

Anyone listened to the 'how stuff works' podcasts? Downloaded 'how anonymous works' and 'that time Nazi's invaded florida'

I'm working my way through "stuff you should know", and am a little over half way. It's really well done - the presenters are likeable, quite funny and clever enough to explain a massive variety of stuff but come across as really normal too.

I've worked through "stuff you missed in history class" which is slightly more hit and miss. They change the presenters every year or so which means i'm not listening right now as the two lassies presenting do my head in.

it's a fair enough mistake to make. they refer to the website 20 times an episode.

I used to listen to it religiously, I went right back to the start and listened to over 500 a few years back. Haven't listened to a new one in about 6 months but it's good stuff.

Started working through the Thrilling Adventure Hour. It's a half hour comedy show in the style of old time radio dramas, but very knowing with lots of winks to the camera. Radio winks.

It's got a brilliant cast too - paul f tomkins, patton oswalt, ed helms, john hodgman. And those are just the folk I know, the rest are very good at what they do. I'm 20 shows in and it's never less than good, and regularly wonderful.

Even if you can't be fucked listening regularly, you should all listen to the most recent doug stanhope podcast. He's just been caught fucking some 23yr old by his wife, she's dumped him and now he's drunkenly telling all the stories that he couldn't air publicly because he was with her.

Spontaneation with Paul F Tomkins. Half an hour interview with a celeb and then an hour long improv story with 3 different comedians each week. Listened to a few and it's good for chuckles.

This is honestly one of the most interesting conversations I've ever listened to. If you want your views challenged and your mind enlightened then this is a must watch.

I know the guy from the youtube vid that went big, not listened to this one yet. Heard the Jon Jones one a week or so ago, thought it was really good.

He had Kevin Smith on recently as well, think it's like 4+ hours.

You listened to any of the Randall Carlson ones? That guy is really interesting even if he's a bit out there.

Just listening to the Jordan Peterson one now with a few beers. Quite Good

The otherkin thing is so fucking mental. South Park made an episode like 10 years ago, 'Mr Garrison's Fancy New Vagina', and it is disturbingly close to a lot of this stuff we've seen over the last year or two.
