How do you take your coffee? That might help. If it's just black, there's plenty options that don't require espresso.
That Illy espresso stuff is good for the cafetière.
How much do you put in a 6-cup job to get a strong, black cup? I chucked in 3 heaped teaspoons but it was a little weak for my liking.

3 teaspoons in a 6 cup cafetiere, and you wanted strong coffee. Would you chuck in half a teaspoon for 1 cup? This ain't no instant shit, Francis.

I've got a scoop, it's probably a tablespoon. I use 2, heaped, per cup.
It might not go down well here but those Kerug machines are, when everything is said and done, the ticket.
