Apparently most folk in italy use one.

Used to have one. It was pretty good but I had it when I lived in France (did I mention I used to live in France, guys?) and didn't have space in my suitcase to take it back with me. My flatmate has one now but I've just been sticking with my cafetiere.

Ran out of filters for my clever dripper so been using the moka pot the last few days. I get the espresso comparison because it's quite muddy and you get the crema. Nothing like an actual espresso though. Prefer a clean filtered cup personally, but it's been a nice change.

Anyone tried Pact coffee? I keep getting emails from them but it seems like a bit of a gimmick. £6.95 a bag.

I actually have a Monto coffee addiction...

I'm thinking 8+ Tassimo americano mugs is a little bit too much to have in one morning.

Yeah I'd already decided that as a company they are far too smug. If I want to buy pretentious coffee then I'll give my cash to my local independent coffee shop etc.

That's maybe a bit much. Can see it happening pretty easily as well. Laugh

That would be about the same level of addiction as me, adding it up I must have around 4-5 pints of coffee a day. 4 shot cappuccino from starbucks on the way to work then have a pint size mug that takes two shots of an aeropress to fill, I have 3-4 of them a day at work.

Do they give you the "You do know that is four shots? That'll be really strong" chat? So irritating.

'According to the FDA, 400 mg per day ofcaffeine (that's about four cups of coffee) is asafe amount of caffeine for healthy adults. But too much caffeine—500 to 600 mg—can be dangerous, causing restlessness, tremors, irritability, insomnia and stomach upset.'

There's no way that anyone needs to drink that much coffee. I can just imagine Dexter forcing down that 8th cup so he could boast to his internet pals about it.

It's quite nice. You also get to open the vacuum pack and the aroma hits you.
