Thinking about doing something a bit different this year for the December menu since it’s not going to be big groups, just couples.

Was thinking about offering a 6 course tasting menu through December and basing it off of folks favourite Christmas comfort foods - Pigs in Blankets, Mince Pies, leftover Turkey Curry - that sort of stuff but obviously spruced up. Just something a bit more intimate.

Just collecting ideas at the moment and would be grateful if you chaps could post a few of your favourite Christmas comfort foods. Always good to get a big bank of idea to work off of

Sound

For example, Leftover Turkey Curry would become something like a curried butternut squash soup with a bit of shredded Turkey through it, maybe some puffed rice and really nicely diced roasted squash. Starter sized portion, and I’d probably call it Leftover Turkey Curry too

What about a bread sauce? Maybe a souffle with a hint of that flavour or some other way of deconstructing it?

Baileys Panna-Cotta Pretty good

Was going to go a wine pairing option too so could do something like a Brandy creme brûlée with mincemeat through an ice cream to go with it. Could maybe pair that with a classic Christmas drink.

Going to do a bourguignon with a shin of beef this week. Plan is to use pickled onions and rinse them off.

Love a ragu made with a shin of beef and a proper soffrito. GodIsGod

Got a whole chicken in the slow cooker just now, with a view to freezing portions of pulled chicken. BBQ pulled chicken rolls whenever I want them. VanGaals Bitch

123 subs now, that's the ball rolling. See a couple of the videos must have got picked up by the algorithm with 1k+ views each. Good on her for keeping it up, hope it all works out. Have you been posting to Reddit and stuff now?
