Aye I had to think long and hard before typing that one tbf, but we live in an age where there can be more than one so all the true greats can have their spot - Stein, Bourdain, Roux Jr and Harriott jjay

Harriott’s recent Caribbean series where he went to a herb garden and just kept nodding and winking at the bit marked marijuana Warnock

Ramsey has ruined it with that new 24 hour version of kitchen nightmares. Absolutely terrible stuff designed for Americans.

3rd weekend in a row of firing up the pizza oven. It is genuinely superb.

It is a really social thing to do as well, a few friends over in the garden and just bang out pizzas and flatbreads in 90 seconds. We had vegans over so made a marinara with thinly sliced chilli and garlic, which was really good. Because it cooks in such a short time there's no worry about the garlic burning which happens in a standard oven, I've found. Did rosemary and garlic flatbreads, and margheritas as well.

If you can get it, the mutti passata is really good, just slowly cook it on the smallest ring on the hob with basil, olive oil and then put in a clove of garlic cut in two, so it gives the slightest hint of garlic but isn't over the top.

So simple and really cheap as well.

walt that pizza you posted the other week looked absolutely pinilla! Are you saying you cook the sugo?
I use basil and about 6-7 cloves of garlic with 2 tins of tomatoes for my sugo and that does about 8 pizza bases, but I don’t cook it, just blend everything and then put it on, do you notice difference when cooking it?

I cook it, but it is a really slow cook, never let it boil, left it for ages and just stirred occasionally. Have also just used passata straight out the jar and to be honest I had no complaints at all. Might need to have pizza three nights in a row and compare all 3 methods. jjay

Igneus minimo. One of these boys.

Review of them here. Hard to disagree with any of it. https://www.aglugofoil.com/2019/05/marga...-wood.html

I'm delighted with it, had been on at the wife about getting a pizza oven/trying to build one for the last 4 years, ever since we moved house really, and not disappointed.
