Remember we had the chilli thread on JKB, that was good. Love a good pot of chilli and some of the ideas on that thread were worth trying.

I cook on inspiration and instinct, I don't use recepies I just feel the power of the ingredients and channel that in to unique dishes. Cool

I found that to be quite an entertaining spat.

A particular highlight.

Well done on dem #lossez. What does your daily diet look like? Aside from your lung-drowning intake of water, of course Smug

Cheers, m80. You have to drink a lot of water on my diet, it's how it works. Every time I piss (which is like every half hour) I'm pissing fat away.

I normally skip breakfast, because I like to lie in, but when I was less lazy doing this I'd just whip up some bacon and eggs. 2 bits of bacon, 2 eggs scrambled. Done.

Lunch is hit or miss and can vary. I'm not into making my own, again due to laziness, so I hit the Tesco deli. Chicken thighs/drumsticks, rack of ribs, southern friend chicken breasts, chicken nuggets. One of those, the latter 2 being less preferred due to the breadcrumbs. Sometimes the thing is empty so I go for the cold meats. That happened today so I'm eating ham and a wee tub of coconut pieces.

Dinner is more consistent. Currently it's chicken and kale. I'll marinade the chicken in oil and spices and chuck it in the grill pan, then spice up the kale and bake it to make kale chips. Starting throwing in red meat, bacon, eggs in there as well for a bit of variety.

This is just 500g of chicken with a kale/bacon mix.

Basically the aim is just to eat as little carbohydrates as possible. There's a ton of different ways to do it, mine is just the easiest/laziest. If you like cooking there's 100s of recipes on this site http://www.ruled.me/.

Nice one mate, cheers. I'll have a look at that. Love cooking, but don't do enough of it. Tbh that looks like the kind of stuff I would enjoy as well; swap out the brown rice and in the kale and that's a fairly standard tea for me.

You got any good spice rubs or marinade recipes to make/brands to buy? I use quite a few different ones but rarely make my own.

I felt the same. It's just basically removing tatties/rice/bread and replacing it with green veg. If you need a sandwich, Lidl do these Protein rolls that are pretty tasty and incredibly filling. Around 10g of carbs a piece. I aim for 20-30g a day.

I'm using this piri piri pan cook stuff just now, can't mind the brand, probably Schwartz. Normally though, cayenne pepper, chilli powder, paprika, salt, and pepper usually does the trick.

Seriously though, if you just want to shift a bit of weight quick (preferably before the new term, right?) then just cut out carbs for a couple weeks. It will melt off if it's the first time you've done it. Mind drink plenty water though.

Plenty people live their lives by it, so I'd say so yeah. I used to just do it in 2 week chunks because I'm a borderline infant who likes sweets too much. I needed to lose more than I could in a fortnight though so I've been staggering it 5 days on, weekends off for the last 3 months.

Never used Colman's before, will get on that. You had the Jamie Oliver ones before? They're really good. Slaughter me for being a naff cretin, but I love the Nando's ones as well.

It sounds like a good kick starter, I think I'll do that and see how it goes.

Pretty easy to lower your carb intake - even wee things like only having a small handful of pasta and much more ragu (throw in chick peas, lentils with your mince to up the interest) in your bowl if you fancy bolognaise, for instance. Before going away I was on the grilled chicken and broccoli though, which isn't too bad if you have some sriracha to hand.

Liking the sound of the baked Kale rog, will definitely give that a try, might even go for it tonight.
