Rumours seem to be pretty strong that we will be announcing the plan for Tynie, with the club completely rebuilding the main stand at the end of this season. Anyone else heard anything?

It's being detailed at the AGM. Club has asked if last fixtures this year can be aways and first few next season also so they can chuck it up this summer with no/minimal disruption.

I heard weeks ago we'd requested last 3 of this season and first 3 of next away from home.
It's going to happen. Budge legacy.

Exactly what I had heard, looks like it's pretty much confirmed then. I love my seat in the old stand for character, but a redeveloped Tynecastle is a pretty exciting prospect.
I'm trying to convince my dad to go to the AGM so he can report back.

Yep, her running of the club has been flawless in every single way. I actually think her biggest test will be walking away and leaving it to the FOH. I'm hoping she has a trick up her sleeve for that

Have genuinely blocked out the fact that in a couple of years she'll be off and the club will effectively be run by kickback

The ideal scenario would be for the FOH to own the club and keep the money rolling in and for Mrs Budge to run it and control every single aspect of it.
Think she might be content to leave as planned though if the stand gets built. It's the perfect ownership and she's not getting any younger.

Would neville myself silly at a new stand tbh, really need some artist's impressions though to really get the juices going.
The thought of the fans running the club when she goes is genuinely terrifying though.

Just imagine the likes of Gary McKay running the club

Looking forward to Thursday. Both AGM's consecutively with lunch at the Tynie Arms in between.
A right day out for the jammie wearers.

It's still a fairly short time to build an entire stand, no? Â I'd imagine that most of it will be constructed off site and then 'placed' over the summer, meaning the majority of the work is done before the season ends. Â If that is so, they'll probably be looking to get started soon.Â

Was watching them building those new build flats and the walls pretty much go up in a oner with a crane.

Those shit cunts over the road started work on their stand in March 2010 and it was ready for the start of the next season IIRC.Â

I remember getting a tour round the Ibis hotel up North Bridge and they said that all the toilets were built in one tall structure, shipped to the UK and placed down then the entire building built around them

A kick in the arse off of 4 months. Clearly i have no knowledge of how something like this works, but that seems a decent amount of time |
