I almost feel it's for the best that Brendan stays in the klink, I don't for a second think he had any involvement in the murder but he's probably better in there now than being out with that brain-dead family of his and all the attention he'd get, probably wouldn't find it that easy.

Zellner irritates me because I know I’ve never put a fraction of her effort into any case I’ve been involved in. Monty Oh Well

Maybe if I could pick and choose my cases and make one case into my full-time job though. Tony Hmm

Also, I don’t have a perma-sneer on (unless I’m reading Begbie’s posts). Greggy

I've been involved in one instance where we've gone through arbitration, and our lawyers got absolutely schooled. I knew they would based on their interactions with me in the run-up to my questioning before their lawyers. Our lot were total amateurs in comparison, sucking nothing but cheap gov lolly. No effort to get to the real issues.

(I was a cunt with their counsel btw, and quite enjoyed it tbqh in the end. Did as instructed.) Felt we were dealing with a pretty shady contractor, and just played it out. Monty Oh Well

Quite the experience really. Like any industry there are those who are competent and those who are just paying lip-service.

I taken out of it whilst they never played the perfect cards they should have their was a recognition that they never had the resources that she had.

Don't help when the prosecution lies about who's computer it is.

Seems she is champions league lawyer for wrongful prosecuttion cases and the guys before were Southampton.

What did they get for representing him? Max £400k from the civil settlement? All those experts and man hours will cost megabucks, and you still need to show a profit for it at the end of the day.

Seems a bit a bit harsh the deeamboats are taking.

I'm sure she made reference to them coming in quite late in the day. Throw in about the resources, they may have done okay.

She is man city though. Fuck yet money.

Take it she would have a massive team behind her and thousands of hours of work?

Being a lawyer sounds interesting but that sort of stuff must be soul destroying Laugh

Zellner will have a team working on it (both staff and volunteers) pretty much full time. And, yeah, thousands of hours. Even stupid wee stuff like marking up maps takes a lot of time. It’s mundane and basic but essential to get right and will take hours. The end product will just be a wee map but you don’t appreciate that it’s taken someone hours to produce.

The constant battle you have as a lawyer is with clients who want Zellner levels of work but Kachinsky levels of fees.

Not sure how she’s funding it all but that’s part of my beef with her having such a public go at his previous team who had both massive time and massive financial constraints. I get that she has to make them look shit as ineffective counsel is one of her routes to appeal but it’s pretty shan tbh.

What amazes me about the whole thing is how the dad has a seemingly successful business. The cunt can barely string a sentence together Warnock

He’s a scrappy. All he has to do is answer a phone and note down where the car has broken down. Laugh

Such a shame the business is essentially in tatters because of it all.

Absolutely astonishing accent though. Zlat

Looks like it. Seems like she's paying two or three "law clerks" (paralegals?) to work on that case, as well as doing all the investigations herself (i.e. time she's not spending earning money on another case). Defence firms don't tend to use private investigators here either, because they're not cheap. Doing all those speculative scientific tests will cost an absolute fortune.

I wondered that too. Without all the testing and investigations, they wouldn't have been able to fill all those episodes. Warnock

It's excruciating. Monty But Warnock Imagine how much "Yeah?" "...Yeah." footage of phone calls the film-makers had to sift through. FuckMe

2 eps in, don’t like Zellner. Bet she wants her own tv show. When she’s talking to the blood spatter/dna boys and hamming it up for the cameras [Image: PcadoTc.png]
