Does Winnie have a name for Soapy Souttar yet or do we have to wait until the deal is done?

Was mentioned in the January transfer thread but defo deserved it own thread Fart Smelly

Good prospect. Would take him. He should be looking to move with United looking likely that they're going down

Will he be coming as a centre half? Or as a defensive midfielder?

Think he's has played RB a few times this season. Can he play LB?

I think signing him could mean one is away, Dr Funk possibly?

I'd happily take him on board Fart Smelly

Blackburn are interested as well, though. I'd hope Souttar has seen what's happened to United players that have pissed their talent away in the English Championship/Celtic to make the right choice.

Hopefully soapy Souttar's head is swayed at the prospect of linking up with Mr Levein again :winston.txt.:

Thinking about it, would we be as well trying to get him on a pre-contract and leaving him to play for Dundee United until the summer? Can't see us losing a defender this week unless a bid comes in for Paterson (Sob) so don't think Souttar would get much game time this season.

Failing that, he should be in touch with Acey ASAP about a flat swap. Quite Good

Think it was said a development fee could be due if we get him on a pre-contract, so maybe trying to save a bit money by paying less in January.

We won't lose Paterson this window, we'd be mad to accept an offer now unless it's astronomical, keep him here til the end of the season, his stock may even rise and a few clubs can begin a bidding war for him and we'll get a better deal.

Surely United would want more to sell him now than the development fee would be in the summer?
