That was taken early this afternoon on north Baffin Island, Kash. Temp -10C. Where I used to live, from the living room window. Couldn't get enough of standing there looking out and the ever changing scenes, when it wasn't dark, or white-out! Laugh

Aye, err think so, well they did the last time we were there but can't remember if that 2015 or 2018! Monty LewLew

No cheap to get in there either though of course the family membership comes in handy, and frankly is a great deal. Sound

Yeah we’ve got the Historic Scotland annual family pass, £8 a month direct debit and free entry everywhere. Can’t grumble when you see the normal prices

Good man, it's a steal. Had it 5 yrs ago when the kids were quite a bit smaller and while they did moan a bit about "not another castle, dad" they still enjoyed some of teh more interesting gory tales before generally taking off to play hidey!

Got it again when we came back in 2018 but pied the renewal in March with lockdown. Tbf, there's no that many paid propertes we haven't been to now. Think I'm a bt of a selfish c&%t! Monty Chuckle

It is. Sound That's the back. I'll take a picture of the front when I get there.

There's the top left of the front of the castle poking through the trees Pondy. Over a km away and we're still in the grounds.

Are you re-surfacing, or piping in some sort of utilities (iirc)? I've only been in via the back by the stables, workers buildings but I've heard the main gates, and entrance is quite impressive.

Renewing the gas supply. 1.2km. We're starting down by the main gates. I'll take a photo tomorrow as the crest at the top is strange. Impressive though as you say. Sound
