Is there anyone on the planet that doesn't love that film?

It might genuinely be the best film ever made.

Heard Dalton hates it.

I first watched it in English class in High School, loved it.

It's probably nothing special to anyone that didn't see it first as a twelve year old. Luckily I did. I never had any movies later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

All the dreyfuss narration was added in post. There'd be such a different feel to the movie without him. The other thing I found out that I love about Stand By Me is that Rob Reiner encouraged Kiefer Sutherland to pick on the will wheaton et al on set so they'd have some real needle on camera Quite Good

John Cusack is fucking magic in it, despite appearing for about 120 seconds.

Nahh, all is good; it's a great film. Worthy of a pozzie.

I read the lollipop article that Jean-Pierre posted, from the Sunday Sport, and then saw your post immediately afterwards about two young kids growing up an apart. seemed quite the juxtaposition.
