Still a quick stop but 0.5 of a second slower. Deliberate maybe?

Disaster for Vettel. I wonder if he was pushing the car too hard?

Some saying McLaren with Sainz going the other way. I hope not as I love Lando and Sainz as a team. Or maybe Danny Ric to Ferrari, even though he did leave RB because he wanted to be the number 1 driver in the team.

Sainz is my thoughts but will his Dad want him there as a number 2? He won't upstage LeClerc imo. Maybe Hamilton if he fancies a change/Merc go on the decline?

Hamilton has recently said he plans to stay at Mercedes, not that that means much.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ferrari went ahead with saying there isn't a number 1 or that they expect both drivers to be number 1. That sounds like a Ferrari thing.

Who in the grid would happily be number 2? Giovinazzi? He has been as good as you can expect for a young driver in a mid-lower level team.

I wouldn't be surprised at say a 1 year deal for Giovanazzi but in reality he just isn't good enough. They'd be better going for Lando Norris or George Russell but that would make the team quite naive. Maybe Alonso to help LeClerc?

Now that Hamilton has pretty much committed to a Mercedes, I think Toto Wolf will eventually jump ship to Aston Martin and will have organised an agreement to take Vettel there. Similar to when Red Bull set up there team and needed Coulthard as an experienced head.

I would love to see Ricciardo in the Ferrari red although I have a suspicion it will be Bottas with George Russell fast tracked as Hamilton’s no2 at Merc

I think Sainz could give LeClerc a run for his money like. Seriously underrated driver.

I like Sainz but I do think LeClerc is just that wee bit better.

Vettel to Aston Martin is a good shout btw. Build the team up with Vettel until they're ready for championships.

In terms of pure speed maybe leclerc but he’s error prone just now. Sainz consistency would perhaps outdo leclerc.

For example I think Sainz and Norris are similarly matched but Sainz had double the points of Norris.

That mentality wins championships

Sainz does have about 100 starts in F1. Good experience that. Would make sense to go there. Whether his dad would want him to be a number 2 is another matter. If he goes and gets buried then he'll never be world champion. Other side of that coin is he beats LeClerc and is the next big thing. I'd personally go for a young charger. Norris would be good beside LeClerc.

Ricciardo confirmed for McLaren 2021 which must mean Sainz has signed for Ferrari. Vettel actually retired?

Suprised how much you don’t rate Sainz. He’ll continue to get better while Ricciardo has pretty much peaked.
