He still gets caught out of position often enough, albeit it's not been punished this season. Excellent passer of the ball but not convinced he'll reach the prem in England.

Not blaming the club for this one either. I wouldn't have extended his contract after his last injury. He's a risk as a crock but a potentially good signing for a championship club.

Not really Hearts fault this one but another asset we are going to lose for fuck all. The money we should have had for Funk, Souttar and Hickey Robbie Disappointed in Souttar here. I know there's no loyalty in football etc but he does actually owe us for the faith we've shown in him. Not surprising though.

Middlesbrough and Stoke. Talk about a fucking graveyard for football players. Fair enough if that's where he wants to go and pick up some extra coin but what a fucking shite move for his career.

This is where I’m at with it all, we’ve backed him time and again when he’s been injured, so the least he can do is sign a contract to at least repay the club with a fee when he moves?

Sadly I’m not surprised either. Monty Oh Well

Did we offer him a contract when he was fucked and there was chat of him retiring? If the club were really showing faith in him then that would have been the time to do it.

Don’t think he’s done anything wrong or the club have done anything particularly impressive tbh, both sides have just honoured their terms of the contract. You can be disappointed he hasn’t signed a new deal after playing so little football the last couple years but equally if he hadn’t recovered his form after injury we’d have had no hesitation in cutting him loose, we’ve done it plenty of times before.

No loyalty but that goes both ways, just have to acknowledge it’s a cut throat business and these things will happen. Realistically he’s not likely to be one of those boys who can play into his late 30s, hard to begrudge him looking to maximise what might be the only chance he gets at a big contract.

Tbf Souttar has been at the club for a long time, he never really struck me as the type of player who would put the club before his own career considering the way it went with Dundee Utd so I didn’t really expect him to be signing new deals so we could get a fee etc.

It is disappointing to lose him for nothing but hopefully get a dece sell on or something.  There’s not really any reason for him to be loyal to hearts, if he wasn’t so injured he would’ve been away a while ago.

Worth remembering hearts have been pretty ruthless with players over the years so can’t really be surprised when it goes both ways.

When's his contract up? End 't season? He'll go in January eh. Both celtic and Rangers would be mad to let him go to some utter shower in the English championship.

Haven't heard of any rangers interest in him before, just a coincidence that it's coming out in the daily record days after a HUMILIATING cup semi final loss?
