I was up Ben Vane today. The scrambles in the snow on the way up were fun. With no crampons or ice axe, on the way down it was easier and safer just to slide on my arse at points. Might just take a sledge in future.

Quote:"I was disgusted," continued Howie. "We gave nobody permission to touch or interfere with our cows. It might seem funny to you, but they are family, they are not just cows."

Quote:After the pensioner had somehow managed to escape Mrs Howie twice with his pants around his ankles, he allegedly went back for more and was spotted by two sisters, who watched him – from 150 yards away – try to have sex with a cow for up to half an hour. After watching, for some reason, for that period of time, they called the police, who apprehended Curno nearby.

Well, maybe it was actually quite funny (in a bizzaro kinda way), Mrs Howie.

Dragged Mrs Acey up Ben Lomond today for her birthday.

Would recommend if you’re new/relatively new to Munros - it’s got a decent path and spectacular views all the way up. Sally

Can be like sauchiehall street on a sunny weekend though. The arrochers round the other side are good aswell and you can get 3/4 of them in a loop.

Yeah, passed a couple of folk in jeans & converse on the way down. Warnock Considering that the only Munro Mrs Acey had done before today was one of the Cuilins, this was a bit of a change of pace.

Wasn’t too busy today, which was good. Maybe the forecast of storms put some people off. vladchin

Will try to get her to come with me up Ben Vorlich soon.

Which Vorlich? If it’s Perthshire Vorlich make sure you do Stuc A’Chroin at the same time. It’s the better of the two Sally
