I like him - comes forward with the ball, steps inside his man to make other passes possible than square ball or a hoof over towards the middle and opening up space for a possible overlap. Skill levels suit the league, for me.

He's a handy player to have in the squad, good that it means younger players don't need to be relied on at right back (with the hope Brandon will overtake him as first choice after a while and he'll be a steady back up).

Also a good example to other potential and new signings- give it your all, fans will forgive your mistakes and bad games. Plus if you're from a diddy country, good form could see you back in the national side.

Yup. Amazes me how many players don’t get this.

Mr 7/10 every week.

A rare fantastic signing in the Levein era. He's quality at CB as well.

Reminds me of Baelish from GoT.

Would get the right back slot in the 05/06 season, that's how much I rate him.

Same with Whelan. He would get the DM position.

Warnock  Robbie deserves his place in that team for the tackle and penalty in the cup final alone that season.

Said on the other thread that he is definitely the best signing of the Budge era, by a mile IMO. No one else has been that good that consistently.

It’s great we’ve managed to keep a hold of him, I thought championship teams would’ve been sniffing about him. Good centre half as well, I wonder where he fits in in our plans whether he’ll go back to RB or stay in the middle. He’s a bit wee but he doesn’t look out of place at all.

I didn't see the EEN article but saw pretty much the same thing in the Sun:

https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/f...emi-final/

He's absolutely bang on the money with everything he said. Including the fact we're in a relegation battle.

The thing I don't mind the most about Smith speaking out is that he's done more than enough to justify being able to say what he really thinks. He's by far the best and most consistent performer in our team. Every week he gives his all and is one of the few to ever get pass marks.

And because of that he's perfectly entitled to call out the total shite bags in our team. It's so much more refreshing to hear someone like him tell it like it is as opposed to MacLean, Clare or some other diddy trot out the usual cliche bollocks about how the players know the fans are upset, the players are so gutted, they know they need to try harder, etc.

Smith is the only one from yesterdays shit show that can hold his hand up and say he played well. He was a one man defence stopping the onslaught of Rangers attacks prior to going off injured. Fair play to him for speaking up and calling out his loser team mates.
