I reckon he’s my favourite player out of post Romanov era players Sob

I mind watching his first game when he and mchattie were thrown in as fullbacks and thinking mchattie has a chance but funk is all physique and nae technique. Quickly proved wrong, it makes a huge difference for fans having players like that who have a bit of character.

McGowan was the same, they are nowhere near some of the best players but definitely some of the most enjoying players to watch.

It generally just helps to keep a bit of good will between the players and fans when things aren't going well too. You're less likely to turn on players you like (Gowser and Cpatz) than ones you don't, and it's easier to like players who seem to be enjoying themselves and want to be there (unlike, say, Larry Kingston, Jamie Hamill and Danny fucking Swanson).

Struggling to think of a player we have that I like, which is different to thinking they're a good player. Then again I'm struggling to remember our usual starting 11, so Jezza

Smit, Halkett and Clev are the closest you get to proper likeable characters in our squad. Not saying I hate the rest of them but you know what I mean Laugh

The funk collective Parliament ran with the Funkenstein gimmick for a while. Like they ran with every pun on the word funk. Probably some wag here put Callum Paterson and Bootsy Collins together and saw it worked.
