I’ve played on better public parks! The amount of bobbling doesn’t lend itself to any kind of football being played whatsoever.

It's a joke and to think we didn't even play on it for months.

Do we employ groundsmen?

I noticed the other day the Dundee pitch is like a bowling green. We desperately need that ripped up and replaced. Getting this hybrid thing in the summer so its a case of just grinding it out until then. What a waste of money that relay was. Monty Ooh

I think the current turf was relaid as a temporary measure to keep us going until this summer where they'll go hybrid. The soil underneath is old, tired and clogged (24 years since they last did it). They will redo the entire thing not just the top turf though it'll take weeks to bed in. Maybe another trip to Murrayfield if we somehow qualified for Europe...

Budge has done some good work. Financing of new stand in particular. Even that is compromised by overspend and allowing a two bit joinery business in Davidson Mains to invoice us for the thick end of £5M in its creation. The attempt to paint that as at arms length in Notes to latest A/A's is a complete embarrassment and an insult to our collective intelligence.  She should get fucking ragdolled at forthcoming AGM for ineptitude bordering on gross fucking negligence / incompetence

It's now crystal clear her time is up. She's out of her depth and out of ideas. That's what happens when you allow yourself to be beholden to one of life's complete and utter losers

The pitch was only a problem for the senior men's team, guys; only one small part of the footballing department.

First game in ages at Tynecastle today and I cannot believe how terrible the pitch is having witnessed it in person.

We banged the drum about how great our new pitch would be, how we spent a million quid on it and it was a state of the art "hybrid" effort. Based on today it would look the worst of the lot down Saughton playing fields. Absolutely terrible stuff, quite embarrassing the nick it's in.

Having a massive concert on it only caused 'cosmetic damage'.

It's another one of these things we made a big circus about and in the end we have the worst pitch in the country again Warnock it really is quite fucking unbelievable just how stupid Budge and her lot are.

Why is it so difficult to maintain?

I have been reading kb and some guy who says he knows the groundsmen is saying it’s all down to overuse. I was under the impression these pitches could stand up to frequent use (pitches in England will get used a lot more than ours with the amount of fixtures they play) so is it a case we’ve went all out on the fancy new pitch but don’t have the resources to keep it in good nick?

There's many ways you can spin it, overuse, lack of sunlight, weather etc etc but playing your first home game on a newly laid pitch that hasn't a blade of grass on it after having a fucking orchestra on it had got to be the main suspect.

Sound though because it probably generated enough cash to get Glenn Whelan in.
