Yep, fair play to him.  Sound However...

2. There's an older section of the Hearts support who I suspect would have a problem with him ever becoming manager. Rather like many Hearts fans were opposed to Tommy McLean from Day 1.

Steve Clarke played in the St Mirren team which, er, y'know, on that day in 1986.

Sorry you’re talking complete and utter shite here, fuck knows where you’re getting that from

Most folk were happy to see McLean come as it was recognised the great job he’d done with Motherwell, it was only when we started playing shite and the fact that he lost the dressing room in particular the likes of Robbo and Gary McKay that folk turned on him. Not one of the folk we went to games with ever brought the Kilmarnock league decider up when talking about him and a few of them were at that game

Is Shaun saying Hearts fans didn't want McLean because Killie pipped us to the league 30 years before he was appointed Hearts manager?

I didn't know Clarke played for that shitehouse side. I couldn't give a fuck anyway, I was 1 in 1986.

He's a hun is he not? Was probably disgusted at the time.

Signs new contract at Killie, decent move by them. Weird he's not been touted for any jobs though.

Mibbes has. Could be he has conditions putting suitors off, such as may want total control, control of recruitment or thatkindathing. Or maybe has a deal in waiting, just holding on for a present incumbent to get the push, or move back upstairs Smile (as if). Quite Good

I think it’s more down to his personal situation. Sure one of the big things was to be closer to his elderly mum.
