£300. That's the bus with a toilet and to and from the hotel. Hotel in Blackpool and booked into some place on the Sunday. Entry into the races too.

My mate did it for his in 2012. You can do it on the cheap in terms of just booking onto one of those buses that takes you to Blackpool and gives you a £60 ticket for the racing.

Or the other way to do it, is the way we did it, and just booked apartments in Liverpool city centre, booked a bus with a toilet and bought tickets for the stands.

This year, we’re getting a train down tomorrow morning, got an apartment booked, tickets in the Princess Royal Stand, dinner booked for the Saturday and then up the road on Sunday afternoon.

Suppose it depends how much you’re into the racing?

Glasgow fair this weekend so going to head out for a day trip on monday, was thinking about heading to the east coast, maybe down to Berwick, will be with hovis and the wee one.

Any suggestions on a good walk, or a good spot for lunch or dinner? Might end up grabbing a chippy before coming home if there is a decent one down that way.

Berwick or North Berwick?

Do you have a sling for your wee one (is a baby and not toddler isnt it?) just obviously a buggy rules a lot of places out. Tyninghame Beach (basically between North Berwick and Dunbar) is a lovely wee walk through the woods and a lovely beach for Hovis to get a run around. Then up to North Berwick for a stroll along the High Street and Harbour for some lobster from the Lobster Shack.

It's a specific movie each week, you can't pick it so it's usually a pretty shit one. Also Monties food is pretty shite, across the chain.

Was in one night and asked the barman for a Dark n Stormy. I noticed as he was pouring it, his hand was positioned in such a weird way that his palm covered the entire label of the Goslings bottle. I asked why and i could see his face change to :eek - It was Mount Gay. He told me there was no Goslings. I said you should have just told me ya cunt Warnock

My mate is the rep for Goslings so he won't be happy to hear that Titter

But aye surely you just say in that situation, or offer a couple of alternatives for the same price.

Decent walk along the beach west to Dirleton. Be doing it myself on Thurs.

Tried using that sling and almost tried to kick fuck out of it. Need to go back to scouts to figure that shite out. If it had any weight to it I’d have smashed it against the wall.

Been hitting the Dark & Stormy recently with some orange juice squeezed in Piggy

The wee bar next to The Stand on York Place does a good one.

You got the leaflet that came with the box, relatively straight forward with that

They are really comfy to wear. Stick with it, it's great for dad's to wear as it encourages a good bond.
Congrats by the way!!

Cheers Lynsey. I did all the YouTube tutorials and it’s just a total pain. She hated it as well. Bought a carrier instead but she’s not too keen on that either, hopefully will do soon. Just can’t see the sling thing being worth the hassle.

I had a cheap crap carrier one for my little boy, he loved it but I wasn't very confident in it plus at 6ft 5 my husband couldn't wear it, so hopefully the one in the box will be better for us (due in 4 weeks).

Congratulations Lynsey  Sound

Yeah the one in the baby box is great, I’ve used it with the wee man a few times. Lassie at work recommended a Mai Tai for carrying him but the sling from the baby box was better

Edit - This was at my nieces birthday in May so he was only a couple of months old, he slept for a good hour or so in there
