That story Joseek

9 days stuck in a cave without food. They are going to have to learn how to scuba dive to get out and few of them can swim Monty But Or they can wait 4 months until it is possible to get out. Crazy.

They think they’ll need 50 dives worth of experience Laugh

Quite a fascinating story, but hopefully they all get out safely.

There is no danger they are gonna kill them now during botched scuba dives. They are just gonna have to stick out the 4 months.

Dark, damp dwelling with nae food and surrounded by Thai boys is probably a busman’s holiday for you.

Why is the scuba option so difficult?

I did it a few years ago with an instructor who barely spoke English. Conditions will obviously be a lot more difficult but can't they just fix a couple of lines and have a few experienced divers along to guide them? Surely that's a better option than waiting down there for months.

Think most of them can't swim Laugh And it seems to be a very difficult dive.

Biggest question would be, what the fuck were you doing down there in the first place.

I think there is virtually no visibility under the water and the route out is long with a lot of tight turns, that in addition to some of them not being able to swim will be too much of a risk for some of the divers to consider

It’s a difficult dive and they’re worried that some of the kids may panic.

How have they even made it that far into a cave system btw? Have they been forced to retreat further into the caves because of the water, or were they already that far in before becoming trapped?

Apparently he’s done it before but maybe earlier or later in the year, they’ve gone in and there’s been a massive downpour that’s flooded the path behind them
