In fairness to Wednesday, Kevin Pressman did hit the greatest penalty of all time (1:30)

Chris Waddle.

- Lost the 1987 League Cup semi-final to Arsenal after a replay - and also after, at half time of the second leg with his team ahead, Spurs' stadium announcer tempted fate by announcing the ticket arrangements for the final. Almost 30 years of Arsenal dominating Tottenham began at that exact moment.

- Lost the 1987 FA Cup Final, to Coventry City (!), after extra time

- Lost the 1990 World Cup semi-final, on penalties, after hitting the inside of the post in extra time, and ballooning the final spot kick

- Lost the 1991 European Cup Final, on penalties, after Marseille had dominated the entire match

- Lost the 1993 League Cup Final to Arsenal

- Lost the 1993 FA Cup Final replay to Arsenal in the 120th minute

- Lost that FA Cup shootout to Wolves despite his side having led it 3-0 (the biggest lead it's possible to have in any shootout that's ultimately lost). Naturally, Waddle avoided being one of the five takers... before finding himself missing the decisive one in sudden death.

To this day, Chris Waddle cannot say the word 'penalty'. He says 'pelanty'. No wonder why, given the above.

If we do bring Clare in you’ve got to think at least one of Brandon and Godinho will be getting loaned out when they come back from injury.

If we’re predominantly going to play a 3-5-2 we’d have Smith, Clare, Morrison, Mulraney, Godinho and Brandon all capable of playing that RWB role.

Hard to see either of them getting game time given Smith and Morrison’s form and the fact we’re likely still bringing Clare in.

Would be a shame if neither get their chance to stake their claim as I was impressed with both, particularly Brandon pre-injury.

Smith’s 30 now, he’s playing great but it would be nice to see one of those two replacing him when his time’s up.

Got to imagine he has the Lafferty caveat added in there. Good job on Budge maximising the sell on potential.

Knew how much we wanted him. But with clubs down south like Swansea, Hull, Reading, ipswich...etc, was told we were trying to get an immediate loan.

To get this lad on a 3 year deal is unbelievable. What a marker to put down.

Gotta say it. Fucking well done all at Hearts. This lad right wing back and Dimitri other wing back. Ooft. Wouldn't swap for anything they have through West.

I'm a moany cunt. But even I'm thinking. Could this be....
