Team I watched today will still be top of the league the morn ...   Monty Smug

Here's my son (wee lad in blue top) celebrating the winner with the City players.

There were about a dozen City fans there.  Albion equalized almost three mins into added time at the end of the first half with a shot from just inside City's half ... beat the arching keeper, hit the bar and came back off him and in.   Monty Chuckle

Was an enjoyable day tbh, although as you would expect the football was pretty shite.   Monty Oh You

We both enjoyed it; a way more interactive experience.  Must have been a dozen City fans at most but they seemed to be having a good time.  Loved their wee rendition of SB's 'Gold' to exalt one of the players ... was it Henderson perhaps?

The away days are great. There's a small band of about 12-14 of us that get right behind the team and generally sing songs from start to finish. The last away day before yesterday, up at Stirling, there was about 75 of us and there was a strong vocal backing as a result. The players and the manager really appreciate it and McDonaugh nearly always makes mention of it in his post match press conferences. As with yesterday, there's been a few pile ons with the players too, Arbroath away being a particular highlight on that front.  Laugh

'Gold' is for young Calum Hall.

If you look up the Citizens Supporters Club FB page, there's more pictures from yesterday as well. Sound

i can see why. Some interesting away day trips in that league to say the least. Quite Good

I was speaking to a young lad for a while in the second half; he was saying that some of the club officials weren't too happy about the gyp they gave the keeper for conceding the long shot. He was a bit Eek about it. Tried to reason that it was more constructive criticism. Monty Oh You All worked out in the end obviously so Sound

Yes, I'll check that website out, Jeff. Will likely be trying to get to a couple more games over the course of the season as my son was equally keen. I can definitely see the appeal.

Ripping Antell is nothing new. I've done it weekly since he signed. Laugh

Supporters Club are his sponsors as well. Eek Monty Chuckle

A couple of the officials get a bit concerned over some of the stuff we sing too. We get a loan of a Spartans minibus for away games. I've managed to get folk singing a few anti-Spartans songs and they were worried that because Spartans are a bunch of petty bastards, they'd find out and stop us getting the minibus. Laugh

Plenty games left in the season to go to. Quarters of the Irn-Bru Cup, vs Alloa, next week. Inverness in the Scottish shortly as well.

Laugh  Right.  I understand now; yes, the lad was saying something about the mini-bus and sponsors and the club but I was getting a bit muddled about who was helping/sponsoring who out.  Still sound deal with the minibus ... Boy was basically saying that he only had to pay the 2 quid at the gate as one of the other lads paid for the fuel.

No doubt a few will end up with the flu as we were all pretty drenched by the FT whistle.

Aye, he mentioned that the upcoming Alloa cup match at Ainslie Park was maybe their biggest match of the season so far.  might just pop along for that.

Feel a bit guilty bigging up the lower league experience on this thread but still, it's perked me up from events surrounding Hearts over the past couple of weeks, and quite frankly I've been looking for something a bit different for a while (years).   Robbie

e:  I should add, Clyde fucked up my coupon ... that was a few bob short of a ton too.  UWOT

Bar should be open before and after the game as well. Usually opens around half 1. Sound

Cheapest the SPFL will allow. Monty But

If it had've been a league game, Hearts ST holders would get half price. Not allowed to for cup games. Against the rules apparently. Fat Cunt

What a strange rule Wiggo will it sell out? I might have went along if it was 5-7 quid but that’s not far off a cheap hearts ticket.
