So the tour starts on Saturday in Brussels. Whats everyones thoughts?

Can a Frenchman win for the first time in ages?

Romain Bardet and Thibaut Pinot have a chance but for me yellow is between Egan Bernal and Geraint Thomas. An outsider could be Daniel Martin.

Green is quite open. Cavendish being dropped means I can enjoy Sagan but he's not in the greatest of form. Not too sure who'll win it. Maybe Dylan Groenewegan.

Polka is king for me. Getting up those mountains like that where i'd be fucked walking it is impressive. Quite a few could win this. Pinot, Alaphilipe, Bardet, Barguil, Landa, Nibili, Quintana or even Adam Yates are in with a shout.

White jersey should be won by Egan Bernal if he doesnt crash.

Can't wait for it to start. Sound

Was chatting to a boy in work today who’s right into his cycling and is going across to watch a couple of stages, he was talking up the chances of Bardet & Pinot, he also said Dan Martin was a good outsider. vladchin

So I’ve jinxed all three of them by taking them all each way at the bookies. Laugh

Got 25’s on Bardet, 18’s on Pinot & 80’s on Martín. Sound

Decent bets Floyd. Sound

But backing them and putting it on here has, as you say, jinxed them. Monty Chuckle

It's been a decent few days of the tour so far. Decent sprint yesterday. A big pile up is missing tbh.

Today and tomorrow should separate the men from the boys.

Waaaaayy way better! Just found out that in middle Europe in mid 1800s a volcano somewhere wiped out the summer and hence the crop. Horses couldn't do something then Carl Weiss (of lens fame I think) then invented something called the love machine coz teh horses couldn't be relied upon.

And just before that they were cycling thru some place where Joesph Niepce was born - he produced the first known photo in 1826/27.

Last two stages have been great. Depending on how this week plays out, the race has the potential for two epic days in the alps next Friday and Saturday. Fist

Thomas looked out of it yesterday. Clawed time back today. Alaphilipe doing so well. All in all its been great. Mainly down to no team dominating like Sky in the last few years.

I enjoyed Thomas’ breakaway from Alaphillipe at the end of the stage, also felt for landa who has twice put in a power of work. Movistar’s tactics have been really interesting but it’s not quite pulling off for them.

Movistar is a strange one. Why did they pile on when Quintana was dropped? Surely they knew?

Brilliant sprint by Caleb Ewen considering he never had a leadout train. He came through superbly.

Superb win today by Matteo Trentin but overshadowed by the disqualification of Luke Rowe and Tony Martin.

It seems quite harsh considering both saw it as a racing incident and shook hands and came over the line together. Hope they see sense and reinstate them.

That was a crazy end to the stage yesterday.

Never mind the hail/snow that mudslide was nuts.

Well done Bernal taking yellow. Good stuff.
