A shame, as I for one would normally be beside myself with excitement at a 35-year-old defensive midfielder from Aston Villa.

Seeing far too many JW’s on twitter claiming this is a big ‘coup’  Crowe

Aye decent pedigree but fuck me he isn’t remotely the answer to the bigger problem.

Good signing. Great pedigree and only on a 1 year deal so no real financial risk either.

Let's just see how it goes, let's hope he can offer Berra some much needed protection.

Bold claim incoming.

Mediocre. Signed because he is Irish not because he was the best fit for the club. More money pissed up the wall, imo.

Scott’s found his new scapegoat, guys Monty Oh Well

He played well for about an hour on Saturday. Did exactly what you want from a defensive mid - won the ball, kept it moving, passed it to Hearts players. Kept it simple. Dipped a lot later, especially when he was trying to force it when we were chasing a goal, but who didn’t?

Irving played well too, and he needs that experience beside him to keep developing.

As with everything surrounding this shitshow, the players are not the problem.
