I'm not sure about running the game but with Damour beside him it would certainly appear that way. Lets be honest here, neither team was in control for any decent spells until we moved to a 442 with the introduction of Morrison and Irving. There were massive gaps in the centre of the field (probably where Clare should have been, and possibly Damour if he was to be further forward with Whelan sitting more) for much of the first and early second.

Thought we were lucky that Horan or whatever the #7 is called held onto the ball just too long mostly, and Allan, while he was brilliant in bits, just didn't do it more/take advantage of that glaring space. They're a poor team that didn't take full advantage of our limitations in the middle of the park.

I'd have Irving in there as a starter every week.

Mediocre. Signed because he is Irish not because he was the best fit for the club. More money pissed up the wall, imo.

Waste of money. Waste of money, waste of money.

Don Cowie of Ireland but with less stamina.

Haring, Irving and Meshino as a midfield three. Piggy One day we will see this when we can scrape enough players together who aren't injured.

Quite Good

Liking the cut of his jib, a couple of big performances in the past week.

Shame he's not five years younger but he wouldn't be here if he was.

He's a proper player. Wasn't playing at that level last season by mistake.

He just oozes class and always looks confident on the ball. His penalty tonight was just too cool. GodIsGod

That’s impressive given the usual pish about players being well past their best. He’s incomparable when you consider we had the likes of Lee, Bozanic and Djoum playing in centre mid last season. Going to be very interesting to see how we untilize Haring once available given he was brought to the club as a centre half!

Bit like Jim Bett insofar as you only realise how much quality they've got when you watch them every week

He supports Celtic and his dream is to play at Celtic park.

Jim Bett! That’s a blast from the past. Laugh

He always made it look so simple and just pinged ball about the place, I don’t think I ever saw him run during his time at Hearts, but he was quality and just had that bit of class about his play.

Still slightly bemused why he chose Hearts when he could've continued his career down south at a decent level and no doubt on far more money. He played the vast majority of games for Aston Villa last season.

Quite Good
