We need to think way outside the box on the next appointment
I'd actually like McPhee to become D.O.F. and employ a new manager, for all his faults in the dugout he seems more capable of running the business side of things than Levein, saying that maybe Levein is stifling his training methods by turning up on the Friday after McPhee has put the hours in all week and jumbling things around.

For me macphee does exactly what an assistant should be doing. He shouldn't be the one calling the shots on the touchline because he's not the manager but he does well to use his contacts to get us players who have been good for us, identify youth prospects we'd miss like Bobby Burns and works on specific aspects of the game like set pieces. He also seems to have been a big factor in bringing in Meshino, whether he turns out to be shite or not it's still good to have someone who can do this for us.
You can't expect him to be doing absolutely everything but I think he's had enough of a positive influence on the team to justify staying on imo. I think the SFA wanted him in some sort of similar role to a director of football (performance director?). He's young and seems to be quite highly thought of in Scotland and think it would be a shame to lose him completely because he's been unfortunate to have to work alongside levein. Not sure if DoF would be the job for him here but I think we should be looking to keep him.
McPhee is the reason we've signed a lot of players, a lot of them have been decent. Not sure if he should be in the coaching set up as such but he's someone I think we should consider keeping on.
I'm fine with a clean break and him getting shipped out but I think he's got more use than most of the coaching team, him and Kirk I'd be fine with being the only ones kept on while the rest are wiped out of Tynecastle.

He runs the majority of training and it appears he's training them to be absolutely shite

McPhee is part of the reason why we set up our team differently every single week "to combat the opposition".
Powerpoints need binned. Liverpool set up the same way every single match. The players know exactly what position they are supposed to be in in relation to wherever the ball is, they've perfected a system to perfection.
McPhee gives it the "Amazing Ross County are so dangerous on the break, we must have 50 sitting midfielders 33 full backs and the big man up top who will get onto the long diagonals" Whatever happened to Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown - get the ball wide and ask your ballers to run at folk. Football is a simple game. Get this cunt out of coaching. If Budge wants him to be DOF then whatever - we can sign all his Irish friends - but we need a real coaching team, not an administrator/travel agent.

Get him to fuck.
Should that not be the managers job? The manager should be down working on the training ground training them to play how he wants at the weekend.
Whenever you watch these documentaries particularly the city one, Pep seems to be constantly working with the players trying to shape the team into the vision he has for how they should play.
In another thread he's the one getting criticised because he's telling them what to do on a match day. Now getting criticised because the training is shite. Maybe if the director of football installed a manager who is capable of setting up his own team and a bunch of coaches who have experience of actually developing players then macphee could concentrate on the areas he is strong in.
When the manager on the day wants to play the way levein does then that's that. There's no great work from during the week from the coaches or assistant that change anything when leveins way of playing football is booting it into touch from kick offs and the centre halves shelling it long at a lone striker.
I'm not against a completely new set up coming in with their own guys but what are the chances of that? Realistically that's not happening, Daly and fox etc are all staying regardless if levein goes.

Cunts defending the coaching team are as poisionous as Kickbackers. The only thing I can think of worse than Levein is Jon Daly and Austin McPhee taking over, having fucking skype conferences on the bench as to what system to change to in the 23rd minute and spending half the second half deliberating over a sub!

The day Levein said he was only going to turn up to training once a week is the day Budge should've binned him. Boot room mentality but the cunt doesn't watch the players train
Garry Monk for me. Out of a job just now. Was linked with the Geordies til Bruce got it.
Did well across Leeds, Boro, Swansea, Birmingham.
Plays 4-3-3 attacking football with wingers and pace. No compensation. Can start immediately. Easy to deal with, no club.
Bin the DoF position. We're not Man U. Just get a decent manager.
Would empty our double decker bus of management and recruitment. Levein, MacPhee, Fox, Daly, Gallacher, Naysmith, Rankin, Kirk, Murray. Abject failures the lot.
Why is John Rankin at my club? In any capacity. Why is there a loans manager to send Cochrane to Dunfermline? Takes 2 minutes and hardly a nuclear change in what we were already doing. Just another salary and appointment by Levein to increase his stranglehold.
Something like 8 coaches invested in and 6 years later left back is still a problem and we've no centre forward. Washington is a left winger. Said it when we got him his best NI games were out there.
We're naturally the country's 3rd biggest. But then add 2m a year from FoH. And a mystery benefactor. I think I'd struggle to finish beneath 4th if I tried.
Levein out. Take your pals with you. Monk in.
See you at the protest. Not if I see you first.... etc etc etc
