GodIsGod

There can't have been anyone in the history of the game better at running with the ball at speed.

I want watched highlights of a Brazil v Argentina game from way back not that long ago with a young Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, Rivaldo was playing too, just fucking unreal man, football really was better back then.

He’s the best player I’ve ever seen, you can keep your CR7’s and Messi’s, the real Ronaldo was a fucking god on the pitch.

The stories you hear about him at Inter with Christian Vieri going out and getting bevvied most nights and the pair of the still turning up and banging in goals every week :GodIsGod

Mind being stunned by this. It was like watching something you'd never seen before.

Still not sure how he manages to score the first goal. You can't even fault Barthez, even though it was at his near post. Unreal finish.

Remember watching that too, back when the CL was free on ITV I think. Finished 5-3 eh?

If any of you haven't watched 'Bobby Robbson - More Than A Manager' I urge you to do so. One of the best football documentaries ever made, simply superb. Ronaldo talks about this goal at length on it and you see Bobby's reaction to it in this trailer.........

The audacity to even try to get through that gap at the first goal, let alone actually managing it. Arry

Frightening, say it all the time but back in the day football just seemed so much better, like it mattered more as well Sob

Lucky enough to see him 3 times live including a couple of times at the Bernabeu. The first time was in an El Clasico and he got the opener in a 1-1 draw. The game was a bit of a war with 10 yellows and a red. It was the night of the Austin McCann winner against Celtic at Tynecastle so we'd watched that in an Irish bar in Madrid which was a pleasant experience too!

When he was at his peak he would scare the shit out of the world's best defenders. They wouldn't know whether to be tight to him in the hope they could kick him before he spun away or back off in the hope it wouldn't be played in behind. One of the greatest.

Also saw him in Paris in the 98 World Cup opener, to be fair the Scottish defence played him really well. Of course all the controversy was still to come back in the Stade de France a month later!

I say it any time he comes up, but he’s the greatest I’ve ever seen for pure natural talent.

The stories you hear about him at Inter with Vieri are something else, going out every night on the town and coming into training and ripping the pish and performing on match day as well. A god :GodIsGod

The state of the pitch in this one and he still manages to run riot Pinilla
