Wee bastard won’t take water out his bowl and sits on the sink until you put the tap on. Gonna have to fork out for one of those water fountain things  Colin

My sisters cat used to do that at my folks, someone told my old man that if he got a water pistol and squirted the cat whenever it went somewhere it wasn’t supposed to, it would soon learn and stop doing it as it wouldn’t like getting wet.

So my old man, not being able to find a water pistol in the house, got a hold of my brothers super soaker and nearly drowned the poor fucker the next time it jumped up to the sink. Warnock

I’ve got one of these: Pet Mate Cat Mate Drinking Water Fountain https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001NYGB8W/r...DEbJB72N32

They both use it all the time, and it’s a big improvement on water bowls. Rumpole still likes drinking out of the tap though.

Our cat is getting put down on Monday. Sob
Ultrasound showed a black mass in her bladder, which would explain the blood in what little pee she manages to squeeze out.

She's 17 & has had a good life though. Although, how she managed to survive 10 yrs in the Arctic is a minor miracle tbqh.  Missus p got her from a friend when she was a very small kitten, probably too small, and she slept on her hat on her desk at work until the end of the working day. One of her siblings was adopted by friends of ours at the same time; they called her Reeb, which of course is beer backwards! Anyway, she's survived sled dogs, weasels, kids throwing fist-sized rocks at her with pure unadulterated intent to kill, a snow goose when we took her camping, ravens taking the piss on a house fuel tank, and a night out (fortunately during summer) when I drunkenly left the front door open for a bit then came in closed it and passed out. She escaped in the Ottawa airport car park for a while, and got stuck up a tree for close to 18 hrs, when she finally saw one after we moved her to BC. Laugh  I guess the local small-sized wildlife around my folks will be relieved. She was great pet, and wouldn't harm a fly small child, or anyone for that matter.

Taqsalik (spots), will be sorely missed.

Thanks guys. She's still in Canada but yes we'd all like to give her a wee squeeze/cuddle or sniff! Instead the past few nights (daytime for them) my mum has been following her around with the ipad, Laugh She lost her own cat just a month ago (19ys) so this hasn't been easy for her either.

She would go nuts for these. Monty Chuckle

That's absolutely bollocks mate. Genuinely don't know how I'll manage when our two go.

The missus'll be an absolute wreck.

I had comes to terms with it, or so I thought, but got an email this morning asking me to think about where we wanted her to be buried, ahead of the last Hangouts call on Sunday night. Reading it out to the kids wasn't easy and was punctuated with a few wee pauses. She'll be laid to rest beside the other two.

Aye, in the grand scheme of things, especially just now, it's not something one should really be worrying about too much but it's difficult to not invest the extra emotionwhen you've had them around for so long.

That's shite Pondy Sob

We used to look after a wee cat from this family whose house my Mum used to clean. She made it to 21. Nicest wee cat ever. Was a stray that they brought back from Venezuela.

21 is some age, Mikey. She's quite similar to the female of two siblings my m & d had. she dies a few yrs ago, seemingly of a heart attack; jumped off the chair and that was it! Monty Ha

It's understandable though, they're part of your family when it comes to it. Funny little creatures that they are.
