Monty Chuckle There is was a wee black fella round our way that was immediately named Scratchy, by my son.

"Surely not, you kids just don't have the right touch". He's all arching his back and meow-ing plaintively as I approach with a hand of friendShip for a wee sniff, and BAM!@!, two nicks and the blood starts to slowly ooze. Little fucker!

Anyway, Scratchy hasn't been seen for a while now. Monty Smug

I'll keep an eye out for Rory's ginger Tom. He does sound familiar now that I think back to that street.

There's a proud guy that sits high up on the wall on the corner of St Marks Place and Argyle Crescent on sunny days. Seems to open his eyes long enough to give me a bit of a sneering look, and then look down at my Asda pizza. I give him a Monty Smug look back.

Back in 2016 we fostered one a bit like that after an earthquake hit the city and left the local shelters overcrowded. We took in a cat called Nii whose elderly owners died when he second quake hit. Poor wee thing just couldn't process what was happening to him, hated being in the shelter so Mrs. P and I took him in for a few weeks. He never took to us, growled if you tried to pet him and pretty much stayed in the spare room the whole time. We just let him have his space.

We had much better luck with the next one but it started out the same. We thought she'd got out at one point only to find her behind the washing machine Heh After a couple of days she started climbing into our laps, she was a sweet cat who just needed some time to trust us. She fucking hated our second cat though so that ruled out her staying with us permanently. Thankfully after nearly 7 months her owners were able to come back for her, we handed her back on Christmas Day.

I think if anyone is thinking about a cat but not sure about the commitment, fostering is a rewarding experience and a good way to try out a new cat. Even if it doesn't work out, you still helped out a local shelter.

Looks like Tommy. He was a cunt. So loving but a fucking killer. Brought us a whole nest of chicks. Everyone had a bite which obviously killed them. The fucking cunt.

He’s actually really good natured so far, has a bit to eat, plays for a bit then has a nap. Rinse and repeat

I've got one of them in BC, decimated the local mouse/shrew/bunny population but she's so gentle. Just brings them in for teh whiny male from Africa who crunches them into a few feathers/a tail/bile bits/fur.

She's the Arctic cat killer and he's the Lion King. They're both coming towards the end tho (17 and 19 respectively). Sob

Cats are wee bastards. Had a black one. Came home pished one night and fell asleep on the couch. Woke up and staggered into the dark hall to go for a pish and tripped over it and went flying down the stairs towards the front door and managed to slip a disc in my back. Missus was away out and i lay there for hours and couldnt move at the bottom of the stairs blocking the door.
