I just think it was pretty daft of hearts to bring him back. He didn’t improve after leaving us, it’s a shame he’s had injuries but we can’t rely on players like that to be our main men.

He’ll have his moments but it just seems impossible for him to find any consistency.

As we reflect on Diego Maradona‘s was passing and tune into Harry Winks and Eric Dier at the summit of the premier league.

I've posted on here before that I think part of the problem with modern football (yes, I know 'against modern football' is a cliché) is that athleticism matters more than (for want of a better term) magic. Players are taught to be disciplined athletes first and foremost, and it makes the game as dull as ditchwater to watch. Can't help thinking that Walker's attitude would've still been honking 20-30 years ago, though - guys from back then might've been going out on the piss several times a week, and not necessarily eating in a way we'd now see as right for an athlete, but by all accounts they were still putting in the work in training.

On Griffiths - he's had a decent career, but I don't doubt for one second that he could've done more. He's not pissed it all up the wall to the extent of Riordan or O'Connor, but he could've definitely done more than he has.

Aye to be mobile, a 90 year old man with a good touch would still trap the thing.

His laddie wears whatever jersey he’s playing in, apart from Liverpool from what I’ve ever seen.

You’re going to be getting rid of just about every player we ever employ if you expect them all to raise their kids as massive Hearts fans Zlat

Dishwater surely?

Having looked it up I now see that it originated as ditchwater in the 18th century, and has been dishwater since the early 20th. So whilst correct, really strange for a man of your age to use ditchwater.

A quick Google search suggests at the very least that both are still in use, if nothing else enough for a number of popular searches to exist into the distinction between the two. Going to be honest, though, and say I couldn't give one solitary fuck about this.

I actually seen that at the time and just assumed you meant to write dishwater but then on the other hand, thinking about it now, i could have been saying it wrong all my life but Roger has piped up and confirmed that the common use is 'dishwater'.

As far as I'm aware I've never heard anyone say 'ditchwater'
