Stendel prompted youth at Barnsley, even before players were sold off this season he was t afraid to give young players a chance.

Wonder if we’ll see Cochrane, McDonald and particularly Hamilton recalled. Berra needs managed big time. He can still perform at times, should it against Rangers at Tynecastle for most of the game but when Souttar and Halkett are fit he’s not first choice.

For me it is very difficult to get too excited, a lot of people were buzzing when Cathro came in and thought he was some kind of football genius but I was very wary of his faux confidence, this guy is obviously different in that he has some kind of managerial history behind him but I think it'll take plenty time to turn this squad around, I just hope he has no time for the wasters and isn't pressured in to playing certain players who are on too much money.

Limited though he is, this style probably suits Uche. Can't really think of anyone else Heh Haring maybe if he ever gets fit again.

Pace and energy wise, it'll probably suit players like Mulraney and Morrison too. And Washington should thrive under that kind of mentality too. Talent wise is a different matter of course.

It'll be interesting to see how Clare manages under a boss who actually wants to win the game.

I think we'll be surprised how many players pull the finger out and look like footballers now. Clare for one.

I’ve got a horrible feeling that you’ll be right about this. I think the change in style could be the making of him.

I will be interested to see what he does with personnel at the back because we really are shocking in the centre of defence in particular, I think Smit has to be used as a CB until he can get bodies in.

I think he'll be stunned when he sees Berra attempt to run and then learns he's our captain.

A CB and keeper have to be the priorities in January.

A horrible feeling that a Hearts player will thrive Rofl

You do you, Floyd.

These chancers have forgotten what a real manager looks like, so if he comes in with a firm idea of what he wants us to do and sets high standards, we are going to completely turn around. There are good players in the squad he will definitely be able to work with - Naismith, Smith, Halkett, Hickey, Whelan, Meshino, Washington, Souttar, Haring - and players who have lost their way or been papped who might just be able to show something with the right guidance and the right system - Uche, Walker, Clare, Mulraney, Irving, Cochrane, McDonald. Maybe even guys like Wighton and Keena, who have looked awful, could benefit from the fresh start.

It’s all exciting and he will get time to get it right because he’s not a boot room special and doesn’t have the stink of Levein all over him jjay

It is, it just means that I need to credit Dred with calling it first if it pans out how I think it will. Laugh

Would rather have the glory all to myself, I’m a bit selfish that way. Shitwine

Folk keep mentioning haring and souttar, is there any hope that these guys will actually ever come back? Not heard any news of them being back in training or running or anything.

I genuinely hope he turns it around, because I think there is a player in there. I think the issue before was that Levein had no clue where his best position was and as a result, he moved him all over the place and his confidence got shot to pieces.

As I covered already, if I’m right, it means Dred is right too and not only that, he called it first.

Should’ve made it clearer in my post. Lampoon

Yeah they have big asterisks over their names right now, I’m not convinced they’ll be back any time soon either, if ever.

I heard Souttar will be back training in the next few weeks,

Fuck knows what’s going on with Haring.
