He really had an arm up our back when he hoovered up that four year deal eh. Highest paid boy at the club, always injured and seems to please himself in all areas.
I'm sure the rest of the squad are delighted at being ordered around on the pitch from the part-timer.
Can he even be considered our best player now? Since the middle of February, he’s scored two goals for the club (less than Sean Clare and Oliver Bozanic) and made 11 appearances - and in how many of those was he subbed early bells?
The more you think about that decision to award him a 4 year deal, the less sense it makes. It’s incredible. He hadn’t played in 5 months and wasn’t going to be fit again for at least a month more - take a 4 year contract. Probably our highest paid player as well?
I think questioning his commitment is off base - why would he risk himself over and over in these appearances where he has to come off otherwise - but questioning the contract is 100% legitimate.

He ran the show first half, making sure the managers instructions were carried out some good touches, better passes and prob could have score 1/2. Header deflected just wide and a tough chance at about shoulder height from a cross.
We looked a lot less organised second half and that’s when the individual mistakes started to creep in.

I did feel bad for Smit momentarily when posting that. He’s clearly more valuable to us than Naismith at the moment, but as you say, Naismith is definitely more talented and influential on the team when he’s fit.

Only comes through 2 days a week for training. Same as MacPhee he works from home the other days.
I don’t believe a word this club says. You have to rely on rumours that leak from club officials to find the real stories behind Naismith, Souttar and Haring.
“Every good player is not the best player for us. We need the right mentality and the right attitude – and we need them not to be injured every two weeks. We can have the best player but if he can only play five games . . . ”
His tea is oot I think.
Would be pretty happy to see him leave if we can manage it and free up some wages. A great player but no good to us currently.
I wouldn’t even mind him being a crock so much if he was in every day with the younger players as despite our failed boot room model, I feel he’d be really good bringing the youngsters on.
If his fitness regime is doing stuff in his home gym then he’s useless to turning this situation around, though. Simply can’t be relied upon to give us a run of games, even if he is by miles our best player when fit.
