I’m assuming Stendel doesn’t fancy Cochrane, McDonald, or Petkov given none of them have been seen since January?

I thought they would have at least made the bench.

I play fives with a Clyde fan and he said Petkov looked like Bambi on ice at times playing for them. Said he’d look good one week and then utterly dreadful the following week, he couldn’t work out what the issue was with him at all.

The team selections have been concerning for a while now.

I'm all for playing youth but it doesn't make sense if it's at the expense of better players. The failure to bring in a proper goalie in January is also going to cost us big time, the style of play means the opposition will get chances and when you have someone so incapable of making a save, that means a lot of points dropped.

Still not fully convinced by him.

I’m a lot more to optimistic under Stendel than Levein and it seems he had his hands tied with regards to signings with the 1 in 1 out policy thanks to Leveins mismanagement, I also think a goal scorer was just as important as a gk, el hologram has cost us but in theory he should be more than capable of performing at our level where as we didn’t really have someone scoring regularly for us.

Heard tonight that Stendel is a fan of Anthony McDonald, he just feels that he’s always after an extra touch of the ball but DS reckons that they can work on that, was also told that Jon Daly was a lazy bastard and done minimal work on the training ground although apparently most of the players liked him

Is McDonald injured or what? What about Cochrane as well, are they even still with us or out on loan?

You just get the feeling they will never quite make the grade tbh, Michael Stewart spoke in his interview about how important the first step is to get in to the first team then kick on from there, these guys are going backwards already. Not a good sign for the future.

McDonald, Cochrane, and Petkov were all recalled in January, from the little I’ve read or seen I think Cochrane has a bit maturing with regards to diet and attitude, certainly has the ability, McDonald seems a bit more switched on and I’ve no idea about Petkov, Levein has a lot to do with stalling HC after introducing him so early and making an impact to not featuring at all, Feel he should’ve worked with him instead of putting him out on loan, especially given some of the dross CM’s we have signed, felt Cochrane should’ve got the nod ahead of Bozanic when subbed for Haring in the cup final

Can almost see the thinking in keeping him for the cup game to make it seem like Stendel hasn't lost all confidence in hs number 1, and it seems like we're going to experiment a bit anyway, but if he puts in another howler Bobby just has to get a chance at Hamilton.

Wouldn't be surprised if we tighten up at the weekend but still lose by a goal to a better organised team doing the basics. I wonder if we'll keep whatever we change the formation to at Falkirk for the next few weeks regardless of the result, as we need to tighten up pronto. Good to see he's not totally stuck to his system though, as it's sending us down with the players we have atm.
