Pea and Ham soup or that Italian starter on toast(forget it's name)

Cod piri piri from the Indian. Obviously mushroom rice and a naan, probably keema.

Then sticky toffee pudding.

A nice mix n match. Monty Chuckle

An americano as an aperitif, with campari.

I am a big fan of haggis bon bons, will usually take haggis whenever it's on the starter menu, unless a beef carpaccio is there. However one of the best dishes I've had in years was a burrata with a broccoli ripassati which was absolutely pinigol. So I'd take that.

Bottle of amarone.

Fillet steak, with frites or dauphinois, a few good veg side dishes as well.

Some form of chocolate or coffee cake, maybe a deconstructed tiramisu like the 'caffee con leche' at spanish butcher or fuck it just a giant chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream.

A couple of glasses of madeira or sherry.

Double espresso.

Solid choice. How’s the steak cooked and what cut?

Quite a lot of pent up anger towards the west coast tends to seep out in these threads. Sad to see.

One of the best meals I had is a bit cliche but we had paella from a restaurant away deep into the mountains a couple hours from Alicante.  You have to preorder it the afternoon before because the boars are killed to order for it.

Iberico and manchego croquetas
Wild boar paella
Estrella for dessert

Think i'd change my starter to scallops. Especially if there's a wee bit bacon and stornoway black pudding.

Stornoway black pudding by the way. Piggy

I did spot that! Laugh

I can’t see him getting Walt’s food order served to him in Coia’s Cafe.

Lacked subtlety tbh but respect to Walt for clocking it.

Snake had him in the sharpshooter and left him on the canvas for me but I went for the people’s elbow too early.

(Yes I’m still trolling because I know he hates wrestling chat Warnock )
