Obviously there's a world of difference between "Well technically you're getting what you paid for so no refunds lol" and recognising the significant loss of goodwill etc; I'm surprised (well, not that surprised) that Hearts appear to be choosing the former path.

when has loss of goodwill ever bothered them? They do whatever they want to the point where you could think they do stuff just to rub our noses in it.

Club is dead in my eyes like.

You can pick apart the language all you want but the clear implication was you'd get 18 games inside the stadium whether than is this season or next. I can't recall a single person at the time pointing out that it might mean streaming ... because it didn't mean that. They deliberately led fans on until they were happy with that they had sold. It's poor, poor stuff.

It's absolutely never bothered them, agreed. Warnock

Absolutely agree - I'm not trying to defend it, because you can't defend it. The scenarios that folk have raised in this thread (plattybois playing waaaaay over the odds compared to bronze skrubs for the same stream / households buying multiple STs who have no need for multiple streams / decrepit old bastards who don't know how computers work / etc) all scream "you've misled your fans".

Interesting to see how Hibs marketed theirs. Some honesty and respect for their fans.

All Hibernian season ticket holders for season 2020/21 shall:

- Be the only supporters with guaranteed access to live coverage of all Hibernian FC home games.

- Until normal capacity is restored at Easter Road, season ticket holders will have free access to Hibs TV.

- Receive a free digital matchday programme via email.

- Have first viewing access of all non-matchday related Hibs TV content.

- Receive exclusive content quarterly.

- Benefit from season ticket holder-only partner promotions and discounts.

- Enjoy free entry into monthly competitions to win Hibernian prizes, ranging from signed memorabilia, access to training sessions and meet and greets with players and staff.

- Have the opportunity to help shape future matchday experiences, taking part in season ticket-holder only surveys.

- Be the first supporters into Easter Road on matchdays as soon as it is safe to do so.

- Have secured their seat for season 2020/21 and have first option for renewal for season

That's what Hearts should have done and could now be like look lads we really wanted to get you back in the stadium but that's obviously not happening now so we're doing our best to get you killer streams and no goodwill would have been lost.

Instead they went for 18 GUARANTEED seats.

Any ambiguity is cleared up in that email that someone else posted. Even the ticket office agreed it meant tickets to Tynecastle, games sat in your purchased seat. Kickspackers are going down the "there's a pandemic did you expect to get in the stadium??" route - to which the answer is no, folk expected not to get in the stadium and have those 18 games carried over until they could.

Honestly it's like buying a voucher for a restaurant that says they'll cook a meal for you then they just cook it in their kitchen and stream themselves eating it.

The smug “I’ve been clear as day that streaming would be included..” type posts on kickback are fucking torture. I don’t care if some fucking janny on kickback was clear, the fucking football club selling the ticket should have put customers in an informed position from the outset.

Let's be honest the 'Guaranteed 18 seats' was an absolute failure from the beginning - it was clear that would lead to a potential loss in income for the following season - why would anyone have thought that was a good marketing plan to begin with?

Only just heard about this late last night, didn’t really know whether to laugh at it, or be angry at myself for believing the Guarantee would be honoured.

Me and the 2 guys I go with were all on the fence about buying a ST for 2020/21, but essentially decided to go for it thinking we would get 18 games at Tynie, which would probably spill over into the following season, but still getting full value for our money.

Between the 3 of us we have spent over £1K, essentially just to get a stream. If we had known, would likely just have bought 1 ST between the 3 of us and gone round to each other flats to watch games.

Just had a quick look at the KB thread. Actually made me more angry about it seeing all the usual characters giving it the “what do you expect there is a pandemic!!” patter.

Did make me feel a bit better when I seen there is some guy who bought Corp Hospitality ST for him and his kids. Shelled out £4,200 for 3 ST’s and all he is getting is a live stream

That is fucking shocking and can't be allowed to happen.

Not one person could seriously argue Hearts have been selling corporate knowing it would be a stream for the season. Fucking liars.

I've asked for a refund and if they refuse I'll be going to my bank. FoH also cancelled. I can take relegation through gross incompetence but lying to the fans when they are trying to help out in these times is a step too far.

I recognise the poster name of the guy who paid £4,200, and even tho he is a jammie wearer, could tell he was pissed off about it.

The first response in the thread to him told him to “stop moaning”

Zlat

I was laughing about it, but if the club do not refund the guy that really is way out of line, even for Budge.

We paid a shitload to get cameras in, so we can justify shafting the fans Warnock

Such a half-hearted 'sorry if you didn't understand our terms' at the end.

Does anybody know how many season tickets were sold prior to the guarantee of 18 games?

I thought sales really started ramping up quite a bit after they went on sale and the majority has probably bought after the guarantee was mentioned?

It’s going to have to be outrageous in order to justify ST prices. Warnock They’ve painted themselves into a corner. I’m sure I saw that a Premiership side is doing streams for a tenner or something.
