Heard it's a guy with experience coaching in Cyprus who has since been instrumental in the innovative B team set up Brentford have used to replace their academy.

The roller coaster of Takis to Davie Weir was quite disappointing reading through this but Weir isn't a bad shout tbf. Fits the ex-player criteria that Budge seems to relish as well.
Did he not do a sports science degree in the states before coming back to start playing?
Agreed that he's a dirty hun, but we've had worse come in an become heros. Weir starts from a higher field than the likes of Mahe or (the returning) Andy Webster.

Yep he went to college in Indiana on a scholarship before returning home where he signed for JJ's Falkirk. He of course then brought him to Hearts where he was part of the legendary 98 side.
If the job criteria was ex player and British he's one of very very few who would have the presence, background, ability to communicate and football contacts for the job.
