Since the forum is dying a death i thought i'd try to revive it a bit Monty Oh Well

A wee thread for stories about us in Europe. Tales and thoughts about our games under the floodlights.

I re-watched our UEFA Euro run in 89/90 earlier. My second ever Hearts game was Velez Mostar. My first ever game was the Saturday before (i think) in the Scottish Cup at home against Partick Thistle (2-0).

Anyway, watching the highlights again. Mikey Galloway was great for us. I dont understand people who didnt like him. Solid, creative, great positional sense and chipped in some good and important goals. Austria Vienna. (lets not forget Bannon's superb pass). Just Galloway's immediate peel away to get to the goalies near post. The goalie should never have been beaten in that position. The finish though is brilliant. Especially when you see the reverse angle.

Bayern. "That was a shot of stunning power" Pinilla

It really was though. I'd love to have known how fast that travelled. I honestly thought that Aumann had it but the further it went the faster it got. Amazing goal.

Second leg. Just as Augenthaler picks it up, are the fans singing the Europe song?

Feel free to tell some of your Euro pish, stories Monty Smug
