I don't care how good a deal Scottish Chumpionship Hearts offer you - you're not going to turn down Bayern Munich or Aston Villa if they come calling.  Warnock

You don't have such consistent success in the DFF league as I do without knowing a thing or two about football old son. Greggy

If Craig Levein told me anything about football I'd do the complete opposite tbh.

Holds a special place in Scottish football for somehow relegating the third best funded club in the country.

You could probably build another new stand with amount of money he's wasted and the amount of money we will now lose due to being in the championship.
We might get 1 million for our best young talent though.
It's all water under the bridge though, mate.

But for historically incompetent mismanagement we’d never be in the Championship, would be in an excellent position financially and would be securing a significant fee for a talent like Hickey. Instead we were relegated, have massive funding holes and are therefore over a barrel. The knock on effects of Budge’s abysmal decision making are there for all to see.

He was getting linked away for the same price since the cup final. He has never given any indication that he was going to extend his deal. Whinging at the relegation is a separate issue.

We could have finished 2nd last season and you still wouldn’t convince anyone to sign a new deal rather than joining Bayern Munich.

"Listen, son. The Premier League with Villa, the Bundesliga with Bayern and Serie A with Bologna, they are all well and good, but nothing beats playing for the Hearts against Hamilton infront 2000 people in the middle of winter."

Hearts will make a cunt of his departure. Nothing more certain

Our inability to produce anything through the Academy is woeful. The few that do look decent leave for sweeties

We have made a complete cunt of it for years. I cant see it changing

End of the day Levein has been gone for two months. Sod all point talking about his mismanagement.

From our current position of a player who has been in our first team just over a year, doesn't want to kick about in the Championship and has one year to run on his deal, £1.5m for the lad plus a sell-on clause is a good offer.

Hickey wasn’t going for much more than being quoted ever.

The fantasy figures was always bullshit.

It's all about the sell on clause. Absolutely crucial we get one in place.

You like our chances of someone at the club negotiating that?

Interested* to hear how to convince a young player to sign a new deal when clubs like Bayern Munich are in the hunt.

* - actually not in the least bit interested.
