We have a far better striker in Boyce. About time we started to supply him properly

How about Boyce starts playing properly then we can say he's better than Nisbet. His performances generally are a joke and people are debs to not whether our man Wighton should be starting ahead of him next week.
Time he pulls his socks up and shows what you are suggesting. Far better than Nisbet is a load of pish.

Kind of agree with this tbh. Boyce is clearly a good striker but he's had a few chances created for him over the last two weeks but can't find the net, apart from that penalty.
He'll get there though. Encouraging how much he can create for himself too though. Manages to find that little bit of space in the box that others struggle to find.
Boyce does a lot of decent work in linking the play up, he just needs more players up with him from midfield more often, the goals will come eventually.

Happy with that team but concerned about the lack of width. Hibs game plan will be to get the ball to Boyle pretty much every time, so the right and left backs will need as much support as possible from whatever wingers will play. I don't know what the story with Roberts was at the weekend (assumed he is/was injured?) so I'm predicting that Frear will start.
I'd go a 4-5-1. Frear and Roberts as the wide men (assuming Roberts is fit and Ginelly isn't). The back four and keeper pick themselves. The two wide men being expected to graft and back up Boyce up front as well as supporting the defence. The three in the middle can be any combination of Halliday, Haring, Irving, Cochrane or Lee. Those three can be expected to flood the midfield and overrun it to dictate play. If need be you could put Walker in there to play off Boyce and given him more support and play more of a 4-2-3-1. Or even Naismith to play that role.

Boyce has been disappointing so far but to say Nisbet is a better player is just stupid in my opinion.
If Nisbet keeps up the scoring record he has just now then maybe we can compare them in a couple of seasons.
I don't think anyone really cares about their overall career record, we're only interested in which of them is most likely to score on Saturday. Up to Boyce to up his game and deliver.

He's a better player right now at this moment and that's what matters.
What Boyce did before hearts is irrelevant, Nisbet is scoring every week and Boyce hasn't been able to.
