We'll go up this season but there'll be numerous shit away performances like this along the way.

Signings are very much a mixed bag - Gordon and Kingsley have been good, Ginnelly's not played enough yet but seems useful, Halliday's been ok, Stewart is fine, Popsecu is pretty poor, and Frear and Roberts are certified duds.

Looking very thin up top with Boyce off form and Wighton just not that good.

The united fans were not happy with neilson's football, and it seems he has brought the same 'style' back down the road with him.

Say what you like about Celtic fans, they're all manky pricks and they shouldn't have been out causing mayhem during a lockdown, but they know when it's time for a change, and the only way to get it done is to turn up and act like arse holes.
Same as we only managed to get Levein out after some nob head spray painted the hearts badge, with levein out.

I agree with what is being said. I detest Celtic and their fans. And they've a cheek to protest. But. When they're not happy they build pressure immediately. They've had a few dodgy results and are out in hundreds protesting. Making it known, get it sorted.

Hearts fans have had 6 years of inept Budge. Relegation. Alloa. And we discuss maybe stopping FOH payments. Maybe. And I wouldnt underestimate actions like Levein out on the plaza. It worked. So did the plane. But we need this trained on Budge now.

I've had great years following hearts. I feel for the 16 and 17 year olds when Budge took over. Now early 20s and just abysmal football plus stadium atmosphere and fan treatment is all they've really known.

Levein hasn't left. He is still behind the curtain whispering sweet nothings in Budgies ear.

Sadly I do fear this is most probably the case. What a complete mess.

In talks with Budge to sign more players.
He wants a striker and a winger so far.

Why would you let Neilson loose to sign more shite. Frear and Roberts were seemingly part of the solution. Ginnelly does look the part but appears made of glass.

At 27 Walker should be approaching his peak. Instead he is basically done. The level of squad overhaul required is colossal. Basically Haring and a 33 year old Michael Smith by time next season starts are worth keeping. Kingsley if we can keep him. Otherwise we basically need to rip it up and start again.

Seemingly doesn't need to move players on. But we're looking for virtual cup final ticket donations so we can pay pish like Damour to stay away.

What a fucking mess.

Because he is the manager and we need to strengthen?

He brought in Gordon, Halliday, ginnelly and Kingsley who are fantastic signings.  Jury is out on popescu who looks ok for this level but not good going forward and frear/roberts don’t look that good.

In his first stint here his signings were perfect. (Championship season)

I’m not a big fan of him either but that sounds as if people’s criticisms of Levein are just carrying over to the new manager even tho they don’t apply imo.  4 good signings, 1 average and 2 poor is hardly the end of the world, especially considering the circumstances he managed to get them here in.

Edit: we brought in that backup goalie as well who’s looked good as cover.  Defo an upgrade on the 3 we had before.

To be fair ginnelly has been a couple of days away for nearly 2 months now. Is there any chance he might play tomorrow?

I’m not sure how much credit Neilson or anyone at Hearts can be given for signing Gordon given the player himself was in the papers and trying to engineer the deal for about a year before it happened Laugh

Kingsley and Halliday look to be good signings by Neilson though, and hopefully Ginnelly if we can get him back on the pitch.

Frear, Roberts, Popescu don’t look great but tbf if they can do a job of bulking out the squad while we get promoted then we cut them all loose in the summer it won’t be too much of a disaster.

I think Neilson knows himself that he’s been burned by Frear and Roberts. Hopefully won’t make the same mistake again.

He can't afford to. Both have been very disappointing. Wouldn't surprise me if Frear is off in January. Perhaps Roberts too.
