I’m surprised they get a development fee since he signed for them in 2019. Is he not about 23 now?

He is but noted in the article:

EEN Wrote:FIFA changed rules on player transfers this month and development fees are now applicable until the end of the calendar year in which a player turns 23.

Previously, compensation would only be required up until the end of the season in which a player reached 23.

Adebayo celebrated his birthday on January 7, so the development fee attached to him applies until the end of 2021.

Aye I was more thinking that he had signed for Walsall too late for them to qualify as developing him. I thought it was more to do with bringing guys through before they hit 18, he must’ve been about 20 when he signed.

Fair enough if that’s the rules but it’s done him out of a decent move.

Bit late to this but after a 30 second skim of his YT compilation (a few pages back) its a big Fat Cunt as far as I'm concerned. I'm not interested in the way the game is going tbqh, not interested in big power forwards/players; bores te utter shit out of me. Find a proper wee Robbo and develop the play around him. Surely there's a Jimmy Bone or a Sandy Clark around that is cheap but kens what he's doing. Not going back until its 1983! Deal with it

It also says that it’s Fulham who are due most of the cash.
Quote:Most of the compensation money would be due to former club Fulham, where the player spent three years as a professional before joining Walsall in 2019.

Tbf I can't see it going any other way than him leaving in a couple of years with a record of like 6 in 44 or something but if we're rating him highly enough to spend the kind of money we spent on Boyce then there might be something there. He's decent on FM  Tony Hmm
