Halliday's best position is left back, but Neilson only plays him there when he's forced to.
Go figure.

Really good start to the league campaign by Neilson. I hope Alan takes some time to reflect on the negative rep he was dishing out for being positive about Robbie before the season started.

It's been a good start, but there are still signs of us being pish, we need another 3 decent signings minimum, to cover up the pish coaching and tactics.
A midfield playmaker being a priority. We're not great upfront and if boyce is injured... we're fucked. If Souttar gets injured, we're bottom six easy.

Can't disagree with any of this tbf. Need another goalscorer and defender urgently for sure, though I'd be tempted to prioritise a pacey winger as our third signing over a creative midfielder maybe.

Not for me, we've been crying out for a decent midfield for years, and that involves a playmaker, Baningime isn't that kind of player. GMS and Ginnelly need to pull their finger out on the wings.

Henderson has got pace and he's not the best of strikers, I'd been giving him a shot on the wing as a sub.
We've also still got Roberts on the books, fuck knows what he's up to.

What happens when one of them gets injured though? Wingers will always go through quiet patches, I'd rather not rely on Euan Henderson.

Central midfield is a priority, If we can get someone that can keep the ball and spray passes about, the wingers will look a lot better.

I thought Henderson was coming onto a game towards the end of the season in all fairness. Showed very little prior to that but he's got pace and had a couple of decent touches when he came on (playing in Smith for what should have been goal no. 3), I think he should be given a chance at least to the window to make an impact off the bench and compete with the others. I rate Ginnelly but he's going to have performances like today when he's not in it and you need options & competition. Henderson provides that at little cost. |
