Picked up a simenon for the first time in the airport, a few months ago. Quite enjoying Maigret and the killer. It's really simple prose, short and sharp, and very readable.

Been reading this. It's a bunch of interviews done with people that survived the Sarin gas attacks in Tokyo. Interesting stuff.

Finished Don Quixote Heh What a waste of time that was. Also finished Au coeur de la haine by Thomas Portes, a trade unionist writing about the rise of the far right in France and Europe Now reading A Manual for Heartache by Cathy Rentzenbrink - one of the women in the officr gave me it in January and I kind of feel obliged to read it. Bit cringe tbh.

In Our Time dud a good episode on Robinson Crusoe. Gives a bit colour to society at the time, the author and the writing itself. Like sitting in on an undergrad English seminar.

Might make the experience a bit more enjoyable with that under your belt.
